We do have roundabouts ( AKA “traffic circle” or “rotary”) and they are becoming more common. We even have them out here in the cornfields of Ohio.

I heard in Michigan roundabouts are required for all ‘new’ intersections and many ‘old’ ones are being reconfigured.

That, and the Michigan left turn (make a right, speed up, merge lanes, brake and pull off, make a left across two lanes into traffic already at speed or squat in the fast lane).

(errr, depends upon yer point of view. I kinda like flavor savers on the right ones.)
Micro-trucks and hot hatches. On-demand water heaters.

Well the thread asked for interesting or good things
. Back to the universally recognized good things- definitely hot hatches and turbo diesels. Grand touring Station wagons.

We do have a few roundabouts here in LA but most of them still require you to come to a complete stop before entering them!

Dogs in public places. I heard that back home in Vancouver, dogs aren't even allowed on some patios because "people might be allergic". But somehow people can fly there with their emotional support goat?! In the order increasing dog-friendliness:
UK: Ask first but typically allowed everywhere. Almost always allowed in pubs. Shops generally OK or too polite to tell you off until you're walking out ![]() Germany: Safe to assume they're allowed unless specifically signposted otherwise. Dogs waiting for their family at airports is the best sight! Not allowed in restaurants with open kitchen or supermarkets but I can sympathise with that. Italy: friendly grandmas invite you and the pooch into supermarkets (local ones not chains) ![]() Roundabouts or "rechts vor links".

My brother came back from Tibet a couple of weeks ago. He brought some dried Yak cheese. It’s little rectangular 1 by 1 by 1/2 inch thick pieces of hard stuff strung on a string. Eating it is like sucking on a stone.
Other than the fact that it is inedible, has no taste, and no nutritional value I would recommend .... What was the question?
