Say what you want about Ant, but he won in the "wife' department. I like the guy and the show.

That wife of his has her own show. He likes high maintenance cars and lives with a high maintenance wife. Good luck.

FYI Ant had his own summer show on "Motor trend on demand" where he built a 50s alfa F1 car from scratch (sort kinda, the body is fiberglass and the engine from an alfa spyder, but very cool nevertheless) - he's coming off as a very talented and nice guy overall... See car next post...
I wish there was an Ant and Edd show, and no Mike... I'm not really dissing him, he's indeed the brains behind all those shows (new ones in england too with an F1 mechanic) and deserves success, I just don't want to see him on TV and would rather he produced only. I'd rather Ant/Edd would source the parts themselves and skip the fake initial/end negociations... On another note they're branching out both in the UK and europe... I'm also watching the french edition which I love because a) I understand the language b)some the cars are different and unique and the mechanic has a good complaining vibe - very french (via VPN to fake a france location) - all in good fun ! I don't learn much as the mechanical scenes are sometimes rushed but it's all very satisfying for a gear head... Last edited by Deschodt; 01-07-2020 at 10:04 AM.. |

I haven't seen the show since I cut the cord, but I did watch episodes with Edd and Ant. Never was big on Mike, he thought a 1969 Charger with a 383 was big muscle. Please.
I did watch most of those shows aforementioned, but not regularly. I really like the home renovation shows, but the only show I enjoyed that featured Bob Villa was Tool Time with Tim Allen. Home Improvement had all the good stuff. Hot rods, power tools, home demolition, and all the tool time girls were easy on the eyes as well.

I don’t know Ant’s wife’s name, but I’d hit it.

Hitting it is one thing, funding it for any length of time is quite another.

Shade Tree Mechanic and a lot of those old car shows were filmed here in Tennessee. I remember watching one episide where Dave and Sam went to a "pull a part" not from from here. I think many of them were out of Nashville, though.
Another good show from a fabrication standpoint was (is? I haven't seen it in forever) Xtreme 4X4 with some guy named Ian. That guy can fab some stuff.

When you consider what else is on TV, including all the "Red neck monkey junkyard custom drag race mud" shows, I'll take wheeler dealer, any edition.. It's fun and up my alley...
