It's been encouraging to follow this thread while we get ready for the birth of our child the same age as your nephew. I agree with your sentiment, what a time to be born. |
Glad to hear this great update.

You are a fine man, with a fine family and a fine heart. Trifecta, Baby! |
Ha, you're a funny guy Seahawk. :D
More progress here! My nephew has crossed the 7# mark. He looks like a 'real' baby now. It's AMAZING to see the progress. He still needs to get a bit stronger, and not be reliant on a feeding tube, before he goes home. But we're getting close. What a party (via Zoom) that will be! |
Making slow but steady progress here too. 7.7#'s and getting close to going home.
The last thing to check off is feeding. He still gets tired out and isn't able to get all he needs without the feeding tube. It's just a matter of time though as he continues to grow and get stronger. The family can't wait to welcome the little guy home! His brothers and sister (My other nephews and niece) have missed their momma and are ready to be great big siblings. I am so thankful to be making this post and not the one I really expected to make when I started this thread... |

Congrats 71T!!

Great thread. I’m so happy to see that your nephew fought through this tough beginning. My nephew was born at 26 weeks just under 2lbs. Similar start for him. 39 years later he’s a very successful dentist with 4 wonderful children. Modern medicine is amazing.

Nice to hear positive news!
