Our mayor has announced this morning to stock pile food so I hear people are fighting to give their money away. Costa has lines going round the buildings. Crazy.

TJS seemed like world war Z

I turned around headed to Tuners outdoor, bought a few more guns and doubled my ammo stock pile

My bunker is full. My stock pile is good for at least 3 months and I can arm a platoon in my neighborhood if needed

I have been planning for the world to end for a while now so frankly I am a little excited to test out my plan

Mrs. Noah just got a text from Gelson's, a local supermarket chain, that they will be closing tonight at 9:00 for restocking, but with no timeline for when they may re-open. So great, we just broke a supermarket.

I don't understand the big run on toilet paper for a virus that affects the lungs.

On the other hand, if people are buying up dairy products anticipating nothing will be available for 4-6 weeks, they might need a LOT of toilet paper after the milk goes bad.

Main thing I've heard of in LA is how empty Chinese restaurants are. Freeway traffic seems to be down about 10%, but it's still hellacious.

We do a huge prepper level buy every fall to get ready for winter. Standard behavior in Alaska. With spring near we’re running a little low. Down to three cords of wood. Couple months of food. Plenty of liquor. But this is a low point in supplies as far as we go.

Xbox controller eats aa batteries. Ran out of those.
Need laundry detergent.

People who have no understanding of survival prep suddenly forced to think about survival prep. Of course they’re going to do something ridiculous.

Scarcity is a strong power of influence.

Although this is misused in the effort to "make a sale", and posting it makes me want to pretty much puke.... Scarcity really is a primal instinct that kicks in.

The moment it hit our shores we did a Costco run. I don't understand why people have waited so long.

Cant believe it. Went to two supermarkets today, one for lunch ( they serve hot soup), and one for beer and wine for the weekend. No chicken or red meat, no paper products, no ONIONS! wtf? People have lost their minds. Their is no food shortage, paper shortage, or disruption of deliveries. This is a great stimulus for the economy I guess! Thank god the booze isle was almost untouched!

For me it was the first case in AZ. Costco, cases of mres, gallons of hand sanitizer. Plus ammo. Hell even got me a new "assault rifle".

My wife was telling me that we should go take thousands of dollars out of the bank, just incase they close the banking system. I explained to her that if that occurs, the situation will likely be so dire that money itself will be worthless, and the only thing of really value that will matter will be guns and ammo. She is generally pretty anti-gun, but saw my point.

I went wild! Bought a nice bottle of Chardonnay, a red bell pepper, and a red onion for the white fish recipe I was cooking.
