Yes you can. One of my friends has a Viper that is supercharged. He can be on the track with race tires at 80 MPH in high gear and smoke the rear tires if he floors it. He can only use wide open at speed above 150 MPH if he rolls on the power slowly.
He said is was so scary he sold it before it killed him.
