I remember Marilyn Cole. Her centerfold pic, if I recall correctly had her standing holding a book. I had that in my dorm room. Getting on to 50 years. Oh sh...oot!
I think the damage to the studs came from someone with a torch removing the nuts the hard way.  Best Les

I didnt get the story but maybe because they didnt use hubcentric spacers or perhaps the wrong lug nuts. If they used the conical seat ones on steel wheels that could easily loosen up. The damage is no doubt from loose wheels rolling around.
