I'm guessing the bottom of the crater affected area is that deep, but the crater is not that deep, if you get what I'm saying.

The deepest part of this animation is what they are calling the "bottom" or deepest part, but the earth in the crater is mostly filled in.

Also called a double carden joint or a cv joint. The 2 u joints together cancel each others speed oscillations and act like a cv joint. The joint allows more driveshaft angle and is usually accompanied by a differential rotated up to near zero u joint angle at the other end of the driveshaft.

Eratosthenes Measures the Earth. ca. June, 240 B.C.
By the 5th century B.C., it was widely accepted that the Earth is a sphere. This is a critical point, as there is a widespread misconception that ancient peoples thought the Earth was flat.
Eratosthenes’ most famous accomplishment is his measurement of the circumference of Earth. He recorded the details of this measurement in a manuscript that is now lost, but his technique has been described by other Greek historians and writers.
Eratosthenes had heard from travelers about a well in Syene (now Aswan, Egypt) with an interesting property: at noon on the summer solstice, which occurs about June 21 every year, the sun illuminated the entire bottom of this well, without casting any shadows, indicating that the sun was directly overhead. Eratosthenes then measured the angle of a shadow cast by a stick at noon on the summer solstice in Alexandria, and found it made an angle of about 7.2 degrees, or about 1/50 of a complete circle. By knowing the distance between Syene and Alexandria through the help of professional surveyors, he was able to report that the circumference of the earth was 250,000 stadia or between 24,000 and 29,000 miles.

The SU' carbs are a much later (1970-75) design that incorporate the good parts of the earlier HS style with a clever temperature compensating device that raises or lowers the main jet around the tapered metering needle to richen or lean as need be. The carbs appear to be either early Volvo or MGB-V8 pieces, sitting on a three Holley 94 (3 bolt flange) intake . 63-73 used smaller bore HS-4 carbs and 73-74 US MGB used 2 bolt flanged HIF-4s. And contrary to popular opinion, the HIF SU's are deadnuts reliable, rarely if ever need any adjustment once set up and the linkage is not nearly as complicated as it looks. They just need a few squirts of oil in the damper chamber to work.

In 1930, a Hungarian inventor observed children playing with marbles in a puddle, noticing that the marbles left a trail of water in their wake. That's how the idea came about: why not use a ball-shaped metal nib for writing? This is how the pen was born. László József Biro shared his idea with his brother György, a chemist, and together they began researching and experimenting to create a new type of pen based on this concept. Finally, they found the perfect combination: a viscous ink and a tip with a small ball that rotated freely, preventing the ink from drying out and controlling its flow. They presented their invention at the Budapest International Fair in 1931 and patented it in 1938, although they did not market it immediately. With the start of World War II, the brothers emigrated to Argentina, where they founded a company in a garage. Although they were initially unsuccessful due to the high cost of the product, they secured a contract with the British Air Force, which boosted their popularity. In 1943, they licensed their invention to Eversharp Faber in the United States for $2 million. In 1950, Marcel Bich acquired the rights and, on the recommendation of an advertising expert, dropped the "h" from his surname and founded the company BICGroup. In that year, they launched the first BIC Cristal, one of the most perfect designs ever created, of which more than 20 million units are sold every day around the world. Since 1953, more than 100 billion BIC Cristals have been manufactured, making it the best-selling pen of all time.

Interesting that the comment says it's for a '65, but the date on the top corner of the invoice is dated 1972. I guess it was a request for a replacement invoice. 1965 did have a 425hp 396 as an option. The optional big block in 1972 was a 270hp 454 :(
