I was bummed but not nearly as bummed as when i got home and realized the rod was hanging out the front of the engine. I went into the house almost in tears as I told my wife. She asked what’s a new engine cost. I said about $1800. She said, well that’s not so bad. I felt much better and ordered a new engine :) |

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1663939014.jpg And it still works! No internet updates needed. Thanks! I needed a laugh. Werent those standard equipment in every late 1960's early 70's: Motorhome, Sportvan Vista Cruiser, Buick Estate, Impala Wagon, LTD Country Squire, Kingswood, Town and Country, Monaco, Colony Park, Plymouth Fury Suburban, Olds Custom Cruiser, Matador Wagon, Pontiac Grand Safari, Chevelle Concourse, Laguna Wagon, Pacer Wagon ,Vega Kamback and of course Suburban. If you were really cool you had the matching Clinometer. (Slopemeter)) Imagine being the kids in the middle and far rear seats staring at those things during a road trip. It was the original Bobblehead with a purpose. Dizzying. |

Halloween (1978)
The role of "The Shape"—as the masked Michael Myers character was played by Nick Castle, who befriended Carpenter while they attended the University of Southern California. Nick Castle admitted that the only reason he accepted the opportunity was for a chance to witness what goes into directing a film. "My only reason for being on the set was to kind of demystify the directing experience for me, because [director] John [Carpenter] was a pal, they were shooting the majority of this near my house and John said, 'Well, why don't you just be the guy walking around in the mask and you'll be here the whole time?'" Castle became a director, taking the helm of films such as The Last Starfighter (1984), The Boy Who Could Fly (1986), Dennis the Menace (1993), and Major Payne(1995). http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1664047105.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1664047149.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1664047177.jpg |

Cinematographer Geoffrey Unsworth, right, seen here with a 1930's Technicolor 3-strip camera. The 3-Strip and its amazingly vibrant palette, a result of its ability to expose three separate negative reels simultaneously to properly capture the color spectrum. Used on films such as Gone With The Wind and Robin Hood.

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1664099146.jpg I must have looked up for an hour inside this cathedral. How in the heck did they fabricate the stone so smooth? How did they hoist the stones without cranes? Just an architectural marvel. |
