Caveat: Jacksonville is located in Duval County, and there are no unincorporated areas, e.g., the entire county (with the exceptions of some very small beach areas, and one tiny westside area) are also the city limits of Jacksonville. There is no "Jacksonville City Police" but there is a sizable Sheriff's Office that provides county-wide service.

Driving east on I-10 toward Jax, you'll see this sign; note the pine trees. You'll see 'em for miles. And miles. And miles. Probably 75% of 'the city' is nothing but acres and acres of standing pine forest.

Final trivia: Jax is split by the St. John's River, one of only two in the world that flow south-to-north. Gold Star to name the other one.

Cool, I was unaware, and I'm from FL.

Your fact above works since they are talking about the lower 48. Add AK into the equation and the rest of us are all not trying hard enough.

^That^ is NOT haggis.

Mexico city, Tokyo, New Orleans, much of NYC, etc, all were built on swamp land.

There was some place originally named as the 'bay of fleas'.
It might have been San Francisco or Cuba or in Florida somewhere. I forget at the moment.
Whatever.
What I do know is that Bing/Ecosia/Quant all return pure junk results for such an easy historic search query.
Page after page...all the same ad garbage.

(And no. That is A.I. photos and a little bit of internet trolling.)
Haggis is actually a plant growing in South America.

The oldest surviving aerial photo is of Boston in circa 1860. It was taken by photographer James Wallace Black from a hot air balloon 2,000ft in the air. It is believed there was one photo of Paris taken from the air in 1858, but this image no longer exists, making this the oldest aerial photo in history.
