The only one of its kind remaining, it was knocked out by US Shermans near Vosges or Colmar in France towards the end of 1944. The Panzer IV/70(A) received a number of hits that caused significant damage. The front and side armor plates shattered, and the welds around the impact area cracked open. It was used by Free French forces after it received this damage. |
