That thing is someone's dream, but it sure ain't mine. The good news is one more El Camino is gone from the supply and mine just went up a tiny amount in price again.

Aston Martin Lagonda Camino? http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-O4EuF3jz9u...Pickup-Ute.jpg |
Back several years ago Chevy was promising a new El Camino. It just died on the vine I guess.

I remember these and the Monte that they came from when I was in HS. https://bringatrailer.com/wp-content...d2IMG_7439.jpg Then we got these, that were supposed to cash in on the "retro" thing that was popular at the time. https://cdn.motor1.com/images/mgl/E7...vrolet-ssr.jpg I think there were rumors of the Holden coming from down under. https://www.aa.co.nz/assets/motoring...0/VF-UTE-1.JPG |
And now Holden is gone altogether.
Chevy just stopped developing the El Camino in 1984 or so, and they lasted until 1987, and production was stopped. Mine was sold as SS model, but that was just a sticker on the side. It was factory delivered with just a speedometer, fuel gauge and idiot lights and a 305 V8. I changed the dash to all gauges, and wore the 305 out and replaced it with a 350. Many were used as pickups, and just beat to death, because they are not really pickups. They are cars with a really really big trunk. The frame is not boxed, and it is a unique frame longer than the Station wagon version of the Monty. It is great for hauling light loads and the simple tasks I use it for. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1603225080.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1603225080.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1603225080.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1603225080.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1603225080.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1603225080.jpg |

Unless Captain Kangaroo played the same 'Rosebud" guitar as JG and lost a finger at a young age, that is a photoshop.
Here is the real image I believe. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1603289569.jpg |
