This is my day. Small leak. I need to put a shutoff in this run upstream. This is the third time that I've had an issue somewhere in this run that just provides water to several spigots/hose bibs in the yard, but to work on it, I have to shut the water off at the well. It would be great to be able to shut the outdoor water off while still having water to the house. The crack/leak is in the corner of the T that's facing the camera.

We had a new septic drain field put in this week. While the plumber was here installing, he said "looks like you've got a leak". I asked, "could that just be from the septic when it was overflowing out of the lids?" He said "yeah, that could be it." I wish I'd just asked him to fix it.

In 1988, Bill Gates brought a forbidden Porsche 959 into the U.S.—a supercar barred for failing safety and emissions rules. Customs seized it, but Gates refused to let go, opting to pay $28 daily storage fees to keep it locked in a bonded warehouse. Over 13 years, that tab skyrocketed past $132,000.
Gates joined forces with fellow enthusiasts to push for change. Their advocacy birthed the 1999 "Show or Display" rule, greenlighting limited drives for rare, historic cars. By 2001, he finally registered and hit the road with his 959, cementing one of motoring's most iconic sagas.

In 1894, a lighthouse keeper brought his pet cat to a remote New Zealand island. Within a year, a single species of bird, the Stephens Island Wren, was hunted into extinction, a stark preview of a global problem.
