Is there a car (or truck) which needs airbags and ridiculous sized wheels?
Roadkill and Finnegan's garage are pretty good Ant and Edd The guy on restoration garage with the crazy shirts and crazier hairpieces is a goof CCC is straight meat and potatoes--find car, buy car, fix car, sell car The one with the fat guy who runs a junk yard I couldn't stand(Not DVAP) The old Boddington shows--that "shop manager" needed someone to beat the **** out of him, I don't know how anyone worked for that guy

I bet his builds are way cheaper and closer to what the real value.
Yea, there are several TV show builders that I would never want my car to be at their place. Chip Foose had mad skills for design, but I do not want a car done in a week, with 24 inch wheels, slammed to the ground with a 2,000 watt stereo. The junkyard place might be even lower than Gas Monkey. The one thing I like the most about Fantom Works was they most of the time discussed price. I understand most customers at a place like Kindigit don't want to admit to the world they just dumped 1/4 million in an old Camaro worth 50 grand.

Dwayne, I think? So obnoxious and paranoid that someone would take his job.

On Youtube 'deboss' is a diesel guy, part 'jack of all trades', part 'Road Kill'.
The pandemic forced me to watch all his stuff.

There was series called "Last Stop Garage" and they were in Canada near the arctic circle. Parts were mostly impossible to find except off of junk. They had some um "creative" builds. Nothing remotely like a show car.

I enjoy Ian Roussel - Full Custom Garage - custom car builder and his process of design. That show seems to have no drama added.

Sammy, I agree with most of it. I do not like Roadkill, it is entertaining but I pass on it. I do like Junkyard Gold. Richard Rawlings - pass Full custom garage - interesting guy but I will pass Christy Lee - she should stick with auctions, she is a liability on Garage Squad. I like the program because it was filmed in IL and I think the builds are practical and realistic. And yes, I miss Heather. I miss Fantomworks - the guy is real, the build costs are way expensive and he points that out. His YouTube videos are worth a watch.

Car S.O.S out of the Uk, great show, they restore neat and obscure cars.
Fuzz...great wrench and good guy, Tim...a clown, a bit annoying, but harmless and watchable. Kind of like an Overhauling premise where they restore a car for the unknowing owner in a 3 week window +/- The owner usually has had some debilitating illness or situation that means they can no longer work on the car themselves. They have actually had a situation once where the owner passed away before the car was done so the have to get it done timeline is taken pretty seriously. They set up the reveal at the end and there's been a few teary episodes. Genuine car people doing good things for other car people. |

Then I met him a few years later at a good guys event at the fairgrounds. He had a car there. Ford couple, maybe a '32? Turns out .... that was all A TV SHOW! Whoda thunk. The drama, the a-hole act, it was all staged and made-up. The producers and Boyd told everyone their role for the week and what the big hassle was going to be. Even most of the doofusses they had to fire for incompetency were staged. They brought one guy in who was supposed to be a car guy but wasn't, and he didn't last the entire episode. In reality he was the son of someone, maybe a producer or sponsor or money guy, can't remember who but it was done as a favor. |

I met Dwayne at a Good Guys show in Wisconsin many years ago. I believe he was born in Beloit, WI. I mentioned to him that my wife then went to Beloit College. His comment was she must be smart and rich. What an arrogant putz.

I forgot Chip Foose. I think he's up there with Dave Kindig, Chip has real skills that I've never seen from Dave.

Yea, Chip has won the Ridler more than once. He is top notch, if you have unlimited time and money. He does not build that level in a week, or even a few months. It takes years.
