That was a nice, classy spontaneous 3-wide finish by Dixon and Rahal to flank Sato across the yard of bricks.

A lot of crashes but still a great race.

-No surprise that Rossi crashed. He was willing to risk more because of being sent to the back. I'll give him credit for not saying what he really thought when interviewed.
-That exploding rotor was something I've never seen before. They quickly stopped talking about it. I wonder wassup with that.
-Sato's finish was brilliant. Given more time, I think Rahal would have taken 2nd. -Dixon was hanging on to a car where the handling was going away.
-I agree: props to Indy for NOT red flagging the race. The repairs would have taken an hour or more.

.....and Marco will wait until next year. He seemed to handle the pole sitter limelight well.

I always like to see the winner be someone that hasn't won before. But Sato drove a winner's race.

Rossi was robbed IMO. It wasn't even an unsafe release as it could have been reasonably assumed that Sato would move to the fast lane.

What's up with the exploding rotor?

Here we are. Master cylinder failure.

I had a similar failure on my 300D back in 2000. The rotor didn't explode though a caliper did crack.

That was pretty wild. He did seem to take forever to bring the car to a stop.
