I think there is a vaccine for thread sickness.

Update on how it went.

Second Injection the side-effects were worse than the first. That night, I developed a pretty bad headache. I would NOT call it a migraine. But it was a solid head ache. Took 3 tablets of Aspirin.

Second day, I was also feeling joint aches. Basically, they magnify any aches you have. Headache continued.

Third day, still had a head ache, not a bad.

Fourth day, still had a head ache, but dropping off.

Took about 5 days for the head ache to fully go away. And Aspirin was generally good enough to stop the head ache.

I am guessing that the second dose is stronger than the first vaccine dose. Or the body is "ready".

Now appointment is just blood tests. I think after the next, they are going to go to 3 months. They are tracking the antibodies, to see how long the protection lasts.

Says someone who isn't among the 210,000 who would disagree, were they not dead.

I volunteered for the vaccine trials (can't recall which) but seemed clear I wouldn't be selected - my answers made it clear that my odds of exposure are very low.

Nearly all which had one or more pre-existing conditions and likely would have died anyway. In other news somewhere around three million people die in America every year.

Everyone will die, these folks would have died years later.

Median age of US Covid deaths is about 74 y/o. Life expectancy at 74 is about 12 years.

200,000 x 12 = 2,400,000 years of life lost to Covid in the US so far.

How many of the 200k were in nursing homes?
What’s the life expectancy of nursing home patients?

That is not how you calculate it. If you use median age of death, you need to use median age for life. Otherwise you are mixing apples and oranges.

78.6 is the Median life expectancy in the USA.

78.6 is not the median life expectancy for people who are 74. You use the life expectancy for the cohort you are looking at. Otherwise you’d conclude that the median person of 79 years old is already dead.
