More power would be great

If you want to go faster, pedal faster....or just bike downhill

stevej37 09-21-2020 05:11 AM

^^^ Thanks. Nice looking bike. Looks like the 3.4 is about to be for sale soon.

Ziggythecat 09-21-2020 08:21 AM

The differences are minuscule at this point.
I ordered a 3.2 in April, and got it in a week
The 3.4 has a different brand of tire..that’s it
I bought a Fuji for my wife, as that was the only one with a 15” step through frame.
That one is 27 speed
The Fuji is 50 plus pounds, and fatter tires, but the boost makes that mute

I could flip both, for a hefty profit

stevej37 09-21-2020 08:49 AM

Looks like all the 3.4's are sold out....and there is nothing else at this time.
Unless I am missing something on their website?

Ziggythecat 09-21-2020 09:12 AM

Just place an order, and get on the next round.
You can always cancel, and get a full refund, if you find something better.

Or order 24 and start a biz...

stevej37 09-21-2020 09:21 AM

^^^ I tried to pre-order the 3.4 7 speed a few hours ago.
The site wouldn't let me do it.

Ziggythecat 09-21-2020 10:05 AM

Not even pre orders ?
They must be swamped...

After having no luck...I emailed them to find out why.
This was their response... So..I signed up for notification.

I live near the ocean so no but Adelaide in general is hilly. But compared to you guys Australia in general is as flat as a pancake.

silver912e 09-21-2020 04:29 PM

Here's mine. I'm an old fart now so the 750 watt motor makes me feel like I'm 20 again on the hills. Have to resist the urge to use the throttle all the time as it feels like one of my old dirt bikes. That motocross muscle memory from the early 70's is still there!

'E-bike" ?

Looks like a Moped to me.

If it has a Motor, and pedals

it's a Moped.

$13,999 for an Ebike that is only 240W ? It must come with a oriental companion that rubs your muscles down afterwards...now THAT would be a happy ending !

87maniac 10-08-2020 09:30 AM

Propella is light and affordable.
Be aware that it has a weak azz battery, motor and brakes.

Motor - 250 W is too small. Scooter size. You WILL want more power.
500-750W hub motors are far more common, and will actually go up hills.

Battery - 7ah is WAY too small.
Power falls off dramatically as the battery discharges.
Only 36 Volts (48 Volt and higher = big advantages).
Their claim of 20-40 mile range is laughable.

Brakes - Mechanical disc brakes - cheap scooter technology.

You get what you pay for.

stevej37 10-08-2020 11:21 AM

^^^ I'm looking for assist....not a full ride.
Which model Propella do you own? Or have ridden?
