I watched the game with interest since, while not a fanatic anymore, I am still a fan of the 49'ers.

Jimmy G., and I mean this, failed to do a basic HS QB check before the QB sneak (which he made): Ensure the O line is set.

He does that, the game is over.

The NFL is better when there are stories: The Bills, the Bengals, Dallas, even KC.

Josh Allen, a Central Valley kid from Cali, is off the charts talented...

The refs lost the game for the Cowboys could have won. The Umpire lagged on spotting the ball and time expired. Piss poor officiating. No Super Bowl assignment or further play off games for these wankers.

Dak screwed up by not finding and handing the ref the ball.

Umpire has to be the one to spot the ball.

If anything Dak cost himself time by getting in the way of the ump instead of he and the center stepping aside.

Mental mistake on Dallas, not the ump

^^^Baloney. 15 penalties, dropped passes poor clock management. Their loss is on them 100%

There are provisions in Football Referee mechanics that provide for spotting the ball when there is a delay. BTDT with my time as referee. As an umpire a ball from the sideline could have been tossed the the Umpire, an official's time out could have been called.

The ref's farked it up. Don't care what transpired in the earlier part of the game. I hate the Cowboys but they got hosed.

I'm not the only one that thinks so...

Interesting. You have a lot more experience than any one here.

Interesting game tonight: Rams fan again. I remember Roman, Dick B, Snow, Merlin, Deacon, Lamar...

What delay?

Dak popped up and handed the ball directly to the center who spotted it.

Could the ref have been there a second or two sooner? Sure. But he still needed 2 seconds to get around Dak and the center. Had they not been in the way Dallas may have had time to clock the ball.

Dak ran too far and used too much time, it's not the refs job to fix a teams sloppy play and clock management **** up.

You can’t expect the Ref to keep up stride for stride with a scrambling NFL QB.

And if the ball could have come in from the sideline spotted by another official, that’s on Dallas to have that ball at the ready and notice given to the side judge that he needs to get the ball in and spotted.

I agree with Joe Bob.

The refs could have stopped the clock and reset it for 1 or 2 secs. because the ref did actually impede the progress of the game.

However, the loss can not be atributed solely to the refs. The Coboys sucqued.

Well a ref could have gotten there sooner or taken longer.

And that's kinda my point, Cowboys relinquished control of their destiny when they burned too much time.

No ones fault but their own.

Either way the game is over. Cowboys don't advance and the refs get a ding in the "did something stoopid" category.

As to extra balls from the sidelines, stadium staff handle them.

The ref did not impede the progress of the game.

Dak and the center interfered with the refs job.

The ref has to spot the ball.

Had the Cowgirls gotten set and clocked the ball without the ref touching the ball the play would not have counted and the game would have still been over.

The Cowboys should be more concerned in how they performed on the previous 59 minutes and 58 seconds . Blaming the refs for the loss with two seconds on the clock is BS . Just my humble opinion .

Hopefully this is my last comment.

What happened to Dak would never have happened to Brady.

Brady would have informed the official of the planned play and made sure he understood he was going to have to hustle and Brady would have handed to the ball to the official, not his center.

So...any favorites for the game?
I'm pulling for Stafford and the Rams.
