What a crazy day . Started with my wife taking her mom and her dog Winston to the vet . He's been going down hill for a while now and today they determined he was full of cancer ☹️ . So she made the decision to euthanize ☹️ .

Then this afternoon we took Luke to the vet for the first time as ours . Clean bill of health with zero issues and he received one booster shot . In three weeks he gets more shots then after that we will schedule his neauter and micro chip implant .

The vet determined based on his teeth he is NOT 11 months old ............ he is 8-9 months old !!! No wonder he has so much energy . He weighs 40 pounds and everyone at the vet made a comment on how cute he is 😁 . One of the craziest days I have ever spent at vet offices that I never want to repeat .

You guys are killing me!

We have been dog-less for a couple years now and really miss having one. We’ve determined we want two next to keep each other company, but with always being home I am concerned they would get separation anxiety when/if we both went back to work.

I really miss having a dog...

^^^^ Sounds as if you're the one suffering from seperation anxiety, your time has come...

...you may now begin your search ;)!

Just like the borg .......... resistance is futile 😁 . If you are a " dog person " it is difficult to go a long period of time without one . There are so many rescue opportunities out there it is a win win for the pet and the owner . A dog's love and affection for their owners/family is never ending . The happy greetings every time you come through the door are priceless . Luke in just 6 days has affected our lives to the positive . Good luck in your search for the next life companion .

Ben at 10 months

Ben now nearly 10 months old and doing fine. Loves the Porsche drives, people, and is a social animal to say the least.

A Luke update 😁 . He is now 14 months old and a solid loving member of our family . Smart as a whip ! We fenced in our back yard so he has a large space to run and play . Being able to burn off energy many times during the day has changed him in a good way . We are so happy we have him . He's 46 lbs. so will stay a medium sized dog which is good . Here's a pic from the other day , his innocent look is deceiving 😊 .

No living room is complete without a couple of dog toys and a bed!
Congrats on your new guy!

^^^ you got that right ! Luke has a toy bin we keep in the living room where his dog bed is . It is full of various style chew bones and toys . I think my wife buys him a new toy every week . He's a spoiled boy 😊

He is a good looking pup, and clearly lucky in his new home. Well done!
