TC is intense. That's what he does best.
I think thats probably his best role. I'm a huge Kubrick fan and saw it in the theater. I thought at first... Eyes Wide *****

Took a long time (and marriage) to really appreciate that film.

I really liked this scene from the first Reacher movie. (2012) 8 years just like that!

My favorite Reacher scene. Duvall was awesome in there as well.

The Reacher movies don’t convey the feeling of the books at all (hate to be THAT guy but it’s true). Found them to be made for tv quality but they are enjoyable.

Same for me first time through.

I should have qualified that it is more Kubrick than it is Tom Cruise that makes it a classic.

More like a three time watch supplemented by Kubrick freaks on YouTube documenting the subtleties.

Oops - just saw the Nostril Cheese comment. What he said!

I liked Tom in Top Gun, but my fave of all time, Frisky Bidnezz. Good film, and it featured a familiar car..

What about Born on the Fourth of July? I thought that’s one of his best.

Thinking about coincidences - I just realized watching that Collateral clip (2004 movie) with Cruise and Fox - Cruise was married to Katie Holmes in 2005 - got divorced in 2012 - then she and Fox were together for years. (Just looked it up from 2013 to 2019.)

Great movie but it was "somewhat political".

Oliver Stone makes great movies but sometimes he goes a bit too far. (The storming of the convention scene)

Biggest hack ever. Midnight Express was the only good thing he ever did.

I liked Platoon but again it's a "difficult" movie.

I've got it on Blu-Ray and I've watched it about 4 times.

I have always thought of that movie as not quite complete Pretty sure he did not finish editing before he passed away
