Now you're just being purposefully obtuse.

This small Oregon town (13,000 or so) has only one state owned hard liquor store but has I dunno how many pot shops...4 on my usual travel routes. I just drive by all of 'em. Prescription drugs and black coffee are $pendy enough for me. Actually, altering my senses just doesn't appeal to me these days.

Maybe you shouldn't. A debit card opens you up to card fraud far beyond the risk of a credit card.

Amazing business. Drive through operation because of Covid. Cars lined up shoving thousands of $ in cash out the window. It would not shock me if they are pulling in $100k per day. Cash. Where is that all going?

Gee, I wonder how many employees have a W-2 that says they made just over minimum wage, yet were paid a large bonus in cash?

And do you think they buy any cars or houses with cash?

Why they only take cash:

https://shiftprocessing.com/why-paying-with-cards-at-marijuana-stores-is-so-complicated/

It was breaking news when states declared cannabis a legal substance years ago. From the 1990s until recently, it was considered to be a Schedule I drug. But in the past several years, marijuana legalization movements have gained serious support.

Now, there are recreational and medical marijuana stores, or dispensaries in twenty-nine states where adults can legally buy marijuana.

However, the process of purchasing the substance can be complicated. Marijuana consumption may be legal in your state, but it’s still a banned substance at the federal level.

Federal marijuana laws trump state laws, leaving the cannabis market unregulated and excluded from financial services. If a credit card company were to lend any amount of money to a cannabis business, they would be liable for prosecution.

Without the option to use credit or debit cards, cash is the primary method of payment at a cannabis dispensary. However, by limiting a customer to cash, their purchasing power decreases which results in lower sales revenues for marijuana stores.

It may reduce consumer spending power but these things must be a freaking gold mine for money laundering and simply pocketing cash for sales to reduce your tax burden. I don’t know many small businesses that don’t give a “cash discount”, wonder why that is?

You can similarly smell an alcoholic from a pretty good distance.

How did you manage to stay smell free when you were a user? Or did you at that point understand why someone "would want that smell on them"?

Other than odor, what thc related problems?

Meh, I'm betting that the folks that have been buying pot for years have probably never used credit or debit cards to do it.

I'm pretty sure that pots has been a cash only business since it was made illegal. So the only thing now is that folks that might not do it when illegal now have to use cash if they want to do it. I guess it therefore may limit sales to "new" customers. But "old" customers aren't doing anything different than they've ever done.

Two hours later...I had no reaction from the gummy. Was I supposed to eat the whole bag?

What a waste of money.
what happened to the other 11?

not a waste of money, you likely needed 2 or 3, maybe more depending on how big boned you are

^^^ The bag said to only take one.
I weigh 150 and didn't want to 'over-do' it.

Should I have taken 2.??

Not that I have first hand knowledge of this but,

Sometimes while on my way to my place in Vermont, I'll pass by some dispensaries in Massachusetts.. and acquired the knowledge, that cash, debit, google pay, apple pay are accepted as payment for transactions.. Not sure about things like Cash App, Venmo, Zelle, PayPal..

Before Covid, these weren't businesses you just walk into.. They have workers outside that scan your drivers license, they control the amount of people in the store. Wait, and then you're buzzed in..

Since Covid, its all curbside pickup... They still scan your DL

And if someone to pre-orders.. The state limits the quantity based on overall mass of THC. So if someone were filling the online pre-order basket and all of a sudden they were not able to add any more items, they hit the legal limit allowable in a day... and no you can't drive down the road to another place and buy more..(hence the DL can)

even without knowing the milligrams of what you bought, i’ll still say at 160lbs i would have started with 2, waited an hour and proceeded accordingly with another.

don’t give up on it man, you can do it! :

they say 1 on the bag for liability reasons likely

i’m not much into edibles but if i got some i would probably search the brand online and read what the stoners on reddit say about them

i just prefer to smoke/vape it

^^^ I thought $26 for a few gummies was high. I wasn't about to complain. (Either pay it or walk out.)

If they can get it...great!
