I was a full-time cig smoker in my teen years until age 25 (plus other smokables)
I really don't care to ingest any more smoke into my lungs at age 67

I have many of the gummies left...might try 2 next time.

edibles are expensive. part of the reason i don’t buy them. but once NY legalizes it i’ll likely get some.....it’s good to diversify and to have options

most of my experience with edibles has been brownies

i have a friend who made shroom brownies for my 40th b day....well, i guess shrooms don’t evenly distribute in brownie mix because clearly some of us had zero effect and i seemed, luckily, to get the brownie will all the shroomy goodness. fun times !

^^^ excellent!

I have no idea what the numbers are...or mean. But the girl selling me the gummies said they were 20 mg? I'm sure she said 20...does that mean anything?

20mg is like a medium dose... from my reading, those new to edibles or thc may need 2 or 3 doses to feel anything and also sometimes one needs to stimulate the digestive process by eating a small amount of food at the same time

according to my friends who like edibles, it seems the first bag of a new brand your not used to goes somewhat to waste because there is a trial and error period trying to figure out how much will do what. then after you figure it out, the next time you buy that same product you know exactly how much to take

edibles is like doing shots sort of.. it creeps up on you so you have to let it take effect on it’s own time before taking more etc......but eventually you gain the wisdom to know that 8 shots of tequila is about right

^^^ When I ate the first gummie...I was sitting on my deck in the sun.
When I stood up (an hour after the gummie) I noticed a slight light-headiness.

Other than that...everything was at normal.

I will try again....and report my results.

good attitude. i applaud your open-mindedness

i’m curious what my parents will do when NY legalizes it. i grew up with parents who were very anti-everything...never seen my dad even drink a beer. but the world has changed and i can’t wait to go over there to find my mom has a stash of gummies and my dad is puffing a blunt....they are in their mid 70s now though and in poor health so they probably won’t try it.

Way better to be safe than sorry.

Leghorn rooster post aside, I am the biggest pot wimp on the planet.

I would not mind trying something like the gummys but I would have to carve out a window of time to be in a safe place with movies, munchies and no responsibilities.

A single horror story of eating not one, but two potent pot brownies 40 years ago sticks with me.

It's worse than you think. Basically, all commercial banks (not credit unions) are FDIC insured. Federal law. Federal law also considers MJ to be a Class A narcotic. Like heroin. The banks will not do business with pot shops. Pot shops have few options for where they can deposit their revenues. Pot shop revenues are, well....greater than you think.

I do not use cannabis. At all.

I don't know what you bought, but a 10mg gummies should get you plenty high. I question the quality control involved with the products given how little regulation there is. Kind of depends on the type of MJ as well. Indicas strains mellow you out, and are less noticeable. Sativas are bright and more visual, they actually wake you up at first.

If your dispensary has Kiva Chocolate (made in Chesaning, MI), try that.

At least that is what I read on the internet. Kids these days.

Sitting behind glass windows, like trophies, they had numerous name brands and flavors.
I picked a small bag of 12 gummies for $26 that was flavored by my fav brewery....Shorts Brewery.

A few days later, I decided to try one.
Sugary...but did taste like the beer (soft parade)
Two hours later...I had no reaction from the gummy. Was I supposed to eat the whole bag?

What a waste of money.

In CO, there are only one or two banks in Pueblo that will "let" them bank. The chance of them doing anything off the books is just about nil as they are more closely watched than any other business. Every ounce is tracked from seed- except they start from cuttings not seed- to the customer and nobody dares deviate because the consequences are severe.
They've been for legitimate federal banking since the beginning without luck. That means all that cash they take in either has to be safed or taken by armored car to the one or two banks that will deal with them.
They walk in to pay their taxes and all their bills with bags full of cash.
The feds still tax them but they can't write off normal business deductions. The list goes on and on and they still are doing fine. Something like $2.3 billion in sales last year in the state.

I know an electrical contractor that did a 3 acre grow and the contract was over $3 million. Cash. Which he thought was going to be fun but in reality, it's a giant pain to process that much cash. And it smells like weed.

It was interesting, they only accept cash. They have an ATM right in the store for customers to get cash. No checks or plastic, just cash.

They must all be targets of armed robbery, like liquor stores. One of my friends has a lot of commercial real estate. He said one problem is the stink. A pot shop will stink up a building, and it is really hard to do-stink the place to rent to the next client. He just stopped renting to pot related businesses.

Like the the many casinos we have, and the lottery, I do not participate. I have nothing against them, I just have more fun ways to spend money.

I dont know why, but edibles have never worked for me. I could eat brownies all day and feel nothing. I dont smoke weed very often, so its not a tolerance thing. Mushrooms... those always worked a little too well...

I'll be the 'guinea pig' and try two in the near future. I looked closer at the packaging and they are only 10 mg. thc per piece.

If I don't report back...check with Nurse Ratchet.

Same here. Same for the lottery or the casinos. It simply does not interest me.

I prefer beer. It tastes really good, and has the desired effect. I see no reason to try any edible THC. Beer is cheap, and available almost everywhere 7 days per week, even in restaurants.

Beer is good too

but obviously the effects are drastically different. beer is not an equal substitute for thc, no matter how many of them you drink.

but if youve tried it and decided you prefer beer, nothing wrong with that
