FANTASTIC! Beats hell out of years sitting unused and almost forgotten in a drawer. Enjoy in good health, okay?

Could there be posts containing a bit of envy here?

This the official Amazon color description. I did not like any of the stodgy wanker colors offered by MB.

Gotta admit, you have a much classier ink bottle than the little boot bottle as seen in the sales video... that's what Mont Blanc sells.

Wifey bought this Mont Blanc for me 30 something years ago when I made partner in a firm and could sign contracts. Old style had a plastic click closing instead of a screw closing barrel. The plastic click closer lasts a year or two but to Mont Blanc’s credit, they still standby it, but I have to pay shipping and insurance both ways. Like $50 total, don’t remember.

Yeah, fountain pen reservoir, first time filling it, the ink was everywhere.

In retrospect I’d have been just as happy with a Parker Jotter.

Once I' get this all straight. I'll likely gift it to my daughter.

She is in Media and Public Relations in LA County. Smart as hell and very cute. If anyone is looking for a young go getter. Let me know.

Degree from CSUF, Dean's List. Currently working in Antelope Valley but wants to move to more vibrant location.

Think of it as (in a stereotypical-American way) as speaking with a british accent. It makes whatever you write seem smarter - even if it's complete crap!

FPs are great for frequent use. If you'll go days without touching it I find that it's gonna be tough. I live in a paper-only working space (of course there are KVMs but no laptops or, gasp, mobile phones) so it's the old lab notebook and a pen...

And aren't ballpoints weird with their gooey ink? Like sticky and slippery at the same time, and not in a good way?

And if you're getting on the giving-pens bandwagon, that'll be Michael Johnson, xxxx xxxx RD, Los Alamos, NM 87544

Hughie....I see yer point. But like Paris Hilton who didn't like the color of her Lamborghini.....or whatever pink Italian trash she bought.

I gots da penz fer like freebie. It's outta warranty. So who cares? This is the internet. If I had huge boobs and an Instagram account I'd make enuff in one post to pay for the ink.

Word to you mother...quote from Vanilla Ice....

This thread has been fun....funny it still has 5 weenie stars.

An old Jimmy Buffett lyric comes to mind...or is it a Faulkner quote? Can't remember.

"Life and ink both run out at about the same time. Or so said my friend, the squid."

If anyone gives a crap. With the pen capped for a few days, the nib and entrained ink will dry out. A firm push will feed into the channel and full flow will commence.

Th-Th-Tha's all folks!

Good tip for the fountain pen users. These days, I can go weeks without needing to touch a pen. Something about the space pen ink...it doesn't dry out like other ballpoints. I've got one I've had for over 30 years, fine red...don't use red often, but it still works. Fisher used to make a stick pen...kind of like a bic...it's one of those I think I paid less than a buck for.

Obviously, I'm more of a Fisher space pen fan than I am a Mont Blanc fan..

Well I signed a bar tab today. The Bimbette liked the ink color then asked why my pen was fat and funny looking. I told her to Google Rodney Dangerfield.

What do you expect? You're in Georgia. In Lake Oswego, Oregon (aka Lake Ego) the girl would have given you her phone number...especially if you also wore a $pendy watch.

I like the feel of a nice thick black pen in my hand.

Well I have been writing with this implement for 10 days now.

My penmanship and care have improved dramatically. I'm thinking of writing Haiku.

NOT!

A fountain pen definitely will make you care more about your writing. We get into much of a hurry in this world and our writing suffers for it.
