From the formation of the 13 original states, "constitutional carry" was the law in all states until the 19th century. Only Vermont NEVER passed restrictions on carrying a weapon.

Oklahoma has had it for several years. 20 states allow it the constitution of the Untied States to be their guide. The rest of the states pass laws that indeed infringe on the right of the citizens.

If the gov't. can require training and permit papers to exercise one's 2nd Amendment right, it should be no problem to also require training on how to acquire a GIID and find the right polling station to cast one's vote in person on election day. Amirite?

The nuts, mental cases, and of course criminals are already carrying illegally.

A few people I've known for years have purchased their first ever firearm in the last few months.
Every one of them is seeking proper training, even though not required by law.
These are law-abiding citizens, that understand the great responsibility that comes with owning firearms.

The results of the "test case" are in. Plenty of states have allowed this for a long time. Tennessee is just joining in.
The cities/states with the most restrictive gun control laws continue to have the highest rates of gun crime.

You seriously UNDERESTIMATE the incompetence of large bureaucracies and officials. The simple minded person can not conceive of bureaucracy being so incompetent so they go by default to it must be a conspiracy.

I sent the IRS a check in mid December USPS Certified with return delivery verification. I didn't get the return card till late January with a delivery date of 12/29/20. As of late January the IRS had no record of delivery and it wasn't until late February the check was cashed. They are still working on the form 843...and that is 5 months now.

I make my living dealing with IRS and state tax agencies. Believe me when i say i know first hand how bad it is.

But this article was almost certainly instigated by dems looking to scare the non shooting public into giving them carte blanche to take more freedoms away.

Government bureaucracy is mind numbing in in the ability to slow things down. The State of Oklahoma did not want to go to the "Real ID" because the feds insisted. Of course after delaying, now the legislature does a forehead slap and says OK, we will comply. The state hires an out of state company to set up the real ID. The system has been a total fuster cluck, and people are having to wait in long lines and many hours to try to get a new driver's license. I am very lucky, mine does not expire until 2022, so I can wait for it to clear up. The governor signed some executive orders to get things going faster.

The stupid thing is if one goes in there with an up to date passport, that is only one form of ID, and one still needs a original social security card, and a utility bill addressed to the same address. My passport is a real ID, but not good enough to grant me a new real ID driver's license. Only an idiot bureaucrat could say it is not enough. The gold standard of ID is the US passport.

Look at every single post office in the country. Go into the lobby anytime from opening to closing and citizens are standing in line. Often for 15 minutes or more just to get mail service on a package or buy postage.

So, I'm going private party on another spoon acquisition. Despite Gretchen the Redhaid's assertion at corporate HQ in Misery.

They did absolutely nothing to straighten out the local store on their blatant violation of the Brady Act. Wankers even tried to dissuade me from getting a refund.

Not holding my breath on how long it will take to show on my credit card.
