As they used to say...there just ain't enough karate in the world to keep you from an ass whuppin' (when you are talking that much size/strength difference...and even worse if man/woman). Unless you have an equalizer (gun, knife, or baseball bat)...time to avoid conflict/run.

We will have to wait until September 2021 to see the 2020 report, that may be very interesting to see if there is any kind of real increase in X on Asian violent incidents. Criminal Victimization, 2018; September 2019 Here is the table the data references. ![]() Here is the 2019 Report Criminal Victimization, 2019; September 2020 The Percent of violent incidents, by victim and offender race, 2019 doesn't include Asians in the table as a line item, just as a part of Other (a,c) column.

The graph looks pretty straight forward if you are illustrating interracial violent crime incidents (as it purprots to be/is labeled). How is it cherrypicked? What is it you are trying to show?

I'm mostly trying to show people make poor color choices when making graphs in Excel.

Where is black on black in the survey? Would a logarithmic scale have had to be used for the others to register if so?

I think "This guy was lucky" because there wasn't a giant Polynesian guy hanging around when this happened.
If I had to bet on it this racist AH is also a coward.

You guys saying she would lose? I am not so sure. Maybe if he had the opportunity to grab her and pull her in? But he is just a fat load, being small, fit, trained to fight and presumably fast she could very easily taken him out. In and out, a shot to his knee a kick to the face. Like a Mongoose on a Cobra. I would have loved to have seen her whoop his Azz.

Methinks there are plenty of guys who can (and have) beat the crap out of another guy weighing in a hundred pounds more ... when provoked. Don't push the wrong button

That data are in the actual tables from the 2018 and 2019 reports. Go to the left most Victim column, do down to Black, then go across to the Offender Black column.

If there is no avoiding a beating...it is always good strategy to hurt your opponent badly, quickly. If there is more than one, sometimes taking out the Alpha asshat quickly makes the others rethink their position/decision to fight (bullies are often cowards). You may still take a beating...but feel better about it afterwards.

Well done, Sakura. When I was the Chief Government Pilot at the Sikorsky Factory, I rented a room from a Sikorsky pilot, a former Marine 53 pilot from Korea. His father was a slave during WWII in Japan. He came to America first and worked hard, eventually buying a gas station in the Bronx. He brought Yong and the rest of the family over when Yong was 15 to help manage the station.. Yong and his brother were both very high degree Black Belts in some martial art I can't pronounce. Early on there were a few robberies, snatch and grabs. The Lee brothers always chased them down and, according to Yong, made sure they got the money back. He had great stories. They earned a reputation and the robberies stopped. I know it is a different day, that the bad folks are armed, but the calculus is the same: Either de-escalate or fight Yong died in an accident at the factory. I called both his Mother and Father, separately, to deliver the news. Hardest day of my life.

Also, don't assume the guys out of shape just because he's fat. We have several guys at our school who may look to be out of shape (275 lbs plus) but you'd be in for a rude awakening if you engaged them on the mats. (Think Big Country, Tank Abbott) The odds are extremely slim she could knock him out before he grabbed her and physically overpowered her with extreme violence. She isn't trained for that type of event. She's trained for sport "points" karate. If she has no grappling experience, once its on the ground you basically have two untrained people. a 110 lb. female vs a 220 plus lb. male. With two untrained people the bigger stronger person usually wins. Having said that, yes fights are unpredictable. Is there a chance she could knock him out with a well placed sport type kick or strike? Absolutely, but if you ran a simulation 1000 times, she would probably get destroyed and by destroyed I mean critically injured 95% of the time. Stop believing all this TV crap... she has zero physical advantage and the disparity in size is so great she would need to be trained in all aspects of fighting: strikes, kicks, preventing a take down, being able to take down, and than know chokes and submissions on the ground. Than she would have a decent chance...and guess what that is? an MMA fighter!

Anybody here ever been beat up by a girl?
I will never admit that I was, twice by the same girl. This was in 2nd grade before my nuts dropped. She was bigger and stronger than me. After she kicked my butt the first time, she heard that I was telling everybody that I lost because I didn't want to hit a girl. So she came over my house and kicked my butt again. My moms screaming.. Hit her Brian Im yelling... Im trying! Good times!

I got in a few fights as a youngster and never had much trouble with guys my size, but really big guys were a different story. When I was about 14 and about 130lbs, an 18 year old, 260lb senior lineman used to beat me (and the rest of the JV team) up regularly. Most of my peer group considered me the best fighter in the crowd, so after I got demolished, they simply took their licks without much resistance. I thought I could at least put up a good fight and make him pay, but I could never land a punch as his reach was so long. He was 6'5 and I was probably about 5'6". I got in a fight with another senior that year who seemed less tough and did not play sports (more a pot head). He was even taller but skinny. He turned out to be a lot tougher than he looked (should have guessed as he was quite eager to pick a fight with me for no reason). I could not land a punch on him either as he also used his reach (apparently has some martial arts training as he mixed punches with kicks that pushed me back). It was a joke. I quickly learned how important reach was from those two "fights". I also learned from the first guy that the old adage that bullies would stop if you stood up to them was inaccurate. It is only accurate if you inflict some damage or they get onto a lot of trouble. That year sucked.

It is funny how, as many here have said, a fight is not a movie script.
I was always tall and only had to fight a few times because I was taught how to fight, box, protect myself and be the aggressor. I also have very fast hands, a gift for a tall man. Times have changes, tactics have changed and getting out before a fight starts is the goal now. We, in the 60's and 70's, actually stood toe to toe. Those days are so over. I think I have written this before but a good friend of mine was a wrestler in HS, 160lbs and very good. I got a little over my skis one day and pro-offered at lunch that I could handle the mat. Nope. I had my ass handed to me so many times, I am stubborn and he did not hurt me (he could have), that I understand the power of ground.
