I had total failure to lift off with my starless seeds.

Happy for ya Vash! I've picked 7 tomatoes from 37 plants. Horrible, horrible year. All rain and humidity. My peppers are doing better than ever though. I'd rather have the tomatoes. I'd have a couple dozen jars ready for winter by now. Where's your office? I'm ready for a road trip!

Time to dig this thread up! These tomatoes are definitely not going to be starless. They are going to be huge Stars.
11 days from seed. The majority of them are tomatoes. I don't know what the rest of the stuff is. ![]() ![]() ![]() Soon they'll be getting a shot of this.... ![]() How is your garden coming along?

Using a new starting technique this year, plant in a cup (think solo cup, with hole in bottom) that only is about a third full of soil-as the plant grows, add soil every week or so to just below the leaves-tomatoes will grow roots anywhere the stem is below soil.
Started Cherokee Purple, Mountaineer, 2 varieties of Brandywine, and Granny Contrell a couple weeks back, along with some DiNardo, Aji Dulce, Calabrian Chili, Italian sweet, and green peppers. Eggplant, zuke as well, all in greenhouse now. Asparagus crowns in, and going to try artichokes this year as well. Never mind the flowers for her cutting garden. Feels like a full time job, but it keeps me out of trouble.

It's too early here to start planting anything. So far I've only been pruning the fruit trees and berry canes. I found cane borer in the blackberries, so I had to cut out and burn about a third of them.
