Well, the report says the government does not see a connection to aliens but they also confirm they have no idea what they are. If they have no idea of what or who they are how can they possibly say there is no connection to being aliens? Like I said before , religion is not ready for aliens and the government knows chaos will happen if we are told we are not alone.

Why couldn't they say there isn't a connection to being aliens if there never has been any proof whatsoever that there is any sentient life other then here on earth.

So unless such proof materializes.. Wouldn't it be pretty standard to state there is no connection to being aliens?

It's no different from hearing a strange sound at night, when you are out camping with the kids , and the kids are saying, maybe it's a sasquatch..
And in the morning, you find some tracks.. you can't identify em and say "no idea what it is, but as far as we can tell it's not a Sasquatch."

As a statement, that's a pretty safe thing to say. It's not controversial at all.
