Here’s two of my three originals and these are the two I wish I hadn’t enjoyed quite so much, lol. The 911s were a set and evidently the white is a really rare variant. Not that I’ll sell them as long as I’m still kicking.

Hey, it’s models, yeah? Two rows deep, haha. The Wilesco D8 was my grandfathers. Every Christmas, he’d pull it out and fire it up. Sometimes we’d build tinkertoy or erector set contraptions and use it to power their motion. I need to give it a light resto before I display it.

Water Boiler.

Been looking for a good 507 model in 1/24 and there’s a Fujimi 300SL Coupe that I want but,,prices are currently ridiculous.

Someone mentioned "Redlines"? A guy I worked with many years ago gave me these reissues back around 1995. He gave them to me because I had a case to display them in, and he knew I would take care of them. Cool! I have one of those engines on my mantle. I’ve had it for 50 years. Used to fire it up around Christmas time and watch it run. I haven’t fired it in decades.

So, paint guys? I have a hot rod I am going to paint with a dark copper metallic fenders and cream center. what is a good mix for cream? I know it has a smidge of yellow in the white. Anything else?

I wish I could build something like that! I tried my hand at a 1:43 scale metal model one time (nothing even close to the level of detail on that Ferrari) and quickly realized it was beyond my skill level.

That is insane given the scale!

The closest I ever came was an A6 in 1/48 that I scratch built the cockpit, control panels and ejector seats. Took me forever just on those aspects but, what else ya gonna do on your 12 off during an 8 month deployment? Plus I had a hanger full of examples. Also scratch built a tow tractor, taking measurements, sketching the real thing.

Took the opportunity to do a stock check and update my list to stop myself buying cars I already have :rolleyes:

Have 140x cars but missing around 20x

Collection isn't fully up to date, missing 1x F3, 1x Indy, 1x Indylights, 1x F1 landspeed record car and 1x F1 test mule, no models I know of have been produced by model car manufacturers, plan to modify exsisting models that are close in shape

Also missing a Singer DLS, 1x Formula E and 12x F1 cars, all models I know I can buy
