Twin SUs. The same set up my BIL had. Same color seats too.
What a time machine! Best Les

SU's are the bomb! My '69 had them. My '70 had Strombergs.

I don't have the space for it. Not going to leave it outside - those 140's rust and corrode REAL quick in my location!
I'll get another 140 one day.

BTW....that small key on the key ring is for the locking gas cap - standard on the 140's.
You can see it in this pic: ![]() I love that kind of classic Volvo trivia!

That looks just like a car my dad bought.
He had a '71, he also bought a '73 145 that I was eventually allowed to take to college. The '67 or '68 was a spare car or parts car or something, he drove it home and parked it under a tree. It sat there until he died, at least 5 years later. The people who bought it squirted some oil in the carbs, put some fresh gas in it, aired up the tires, jumped it and drove it home. I'd buy it if it had an overdrive. I had a '73 142 after mom sold the 145. Rusted real bad, I ended up trading it for a mountain bike. Does anyone need any OEM oil filters? Think they're any good after 40 years? I have 8 or 9 of them. |

I was hoping someone here - especially if they were in Arizona - would benefit from my thread and be interested in buying it.
Paging Don Davis...... ![]() It will probably be gone by tomorrow. That's a hell of a deal if it runs and is in as good a shape as advertised.

Some of these did have factory air conditioning. Just like the Porsche 914.
My last 145 had an aftermarket unit installed by the original owners, who lived in Ft Myers. But it was removed at some point by the person I bought it from. It was a 2 owner car when I bought it. The previous owner used it while going to college at Florida. His brother was the service manager at the Volvo dealership there, so that 145 was in tip top shape mechanically. It was a '69 so the rear windows popped out. ![]() The car also has fly windows - so between having 4 roll down windows, fly windows, and two rear pop-out windows - there's plenty of ventilation - as long as you keep moving!
