I wonder what’s it’s like to live in that household? The boy didn’t say a word (that I heard),but followed his mom around. Little girls scared ****less for her mom. It’s as though she was the adult there and knew what her mom was doing was wrong.
Drinking, drugs, mental illness, XYBZ behavior...what causes someone to be like that? |

What's sad is that we just didn't see stuff like this 7-10 years ago. I think we can thank utube for teaching them how to act when things don't go their way.
Just lower class pf people. That little will be just like her parents but I sure hope she can break that cycle. |

This is becoming the norm. I fly 2 times a week and there is some kind of confrontation almost every day when I'm there. Friends in the industry have been saying it's a whole new breed of people flying today since everything opened back up. Very noticeable difference. Lots of pushing and shoving, etc. (as soon as the plane comes to a stop at the gate, 'certain people' will jump up and push their way to the front, etc. Just over all a general rudeness. Many reports of people missing their flights due to the security lines being so long now. (any given morning in ATL, its a 2-3 hour wait to get through so people are irate by the time the make it to the gate.

The lady is clearly having a mental health crisis. But since she is not lily white, whispers of "Oh, it's that race thing. They are all like that, you know."
This place is disgusting. |

No, he was saying that she was exhibiting the kind of insane escalation behavior where if she'd had a gun, she would have pulled it out and pointed it at someone and possibly shot them.

That was my first thought. The woman clearly had no interest in the child’s welfare, and how does a kid that age know about going to jail for that kind of behavior? I suspect this has happened before. I hope child protective services was called about this. CPS is mostly useless, but it’s better than ignoring it.

It takes more to being a parent than just the swap of DNA . Children are the product of their environment , based on the video the kids have an uphill battle to normal productive lives .

When we were on the Maid of the Mist one of the foreigners was pushing everyone to get a better view. He almost took a swim when he started pushing my 8 year old. He saw the look on my face when I grabbed his arm to tell him to stop and I didn't have to say a word.

edit: great story. I like how no words were spoken, and the 8 year old knew dad had their back and wouldn't embarrass them

The flight attendants I know say the problem of aggressive and antisocial passenger behavior is a lot worse than reported. Some of them have given up trying to enforce rules, because no-one has their back. My very senior FA friend will only bid for international flights, she doesn't want to fly with domestic passengers. The airlines need to come down hard on disruptive passengers, with prosecution and bans. They owe it to their other passengers if not to aircrew. Why should the rest of us have to suffer flying with the ***holes?

I honestly can't fathom my mom or any adult acting like that when I was kid. It just did not happen.
The crazy mom in the video (I ain't gonna call her a lady) has a real sense of entitlement and seems to think rules and laws don't apply to her. I can't imagine why the airport security was not called sooner. I feel sorry for her kids, and everyone that had to endure her wrath. She needs time in the jail cell to think about her actions. And put a big red star next to her name for the no fly list and explain to if she sets foot in any airport in the USA she will be detained again, but for a longer sentence, and a big fine.

I'm surprised that it went on that long, Airport Police are never far away in any airport I regularly fly. The guy who eventually confronted her was only a security guard.
Anti-social, aggressive and criminal behavior is WAY up in the U.S. in the last few years in airports and aboard planes. If you think that it's a particular problem with black passengers, that is because you are a racist. I'd bet that it's 90% white people, way above their representation in the general population.

Everyone I've seen acting up, (usually over refusal to wear a mask), and every video I've seen has been a white person. Every. Single. One. But one video of a black person losing their schit and it's a black problem. Only on Pelican.

I truly can't care less what color, race, creed or gender the person is, if they act that way, put them on the no fly list, and keep them out of airports.

Race has nothing to do with it - stupidity is represented in every possible demographic. I like how the JQ Public put an end to this guy rather quickly.
Speeder, you seem to consistently see racism where there is none. Give it a rest. |

I hope Tobra is not referring to me. That would be weird if he was because I haven’t even commented on this latest race bashing thread. |
