I hadn't noticed
![]() First let me say that I'm not trying to pick a fight here and that I can understand the frustration with you having been vaccinated and now struggling through a covid infection. Having said that, each of the vaccines available is a vaccine in the broadest sense. They are only "not a vaccine" in the narrowest sense being they no longer elicit an immune response capable of neutralizing the virus in everyone that has been vaccinated. In the broadest sense, being they help the body identify an antigen and create an immune system response without infection, they are absolutely vaccines and they're arguably doing well in reducing severe cases. This showed to be true with the Delta variant. Since Omicron came along? Who knows since it's supposed to be less severe than the Alfa and Delta strains. To say they aren't "conventional" vaccines is accurate. But to say they aren't a vaccine in the sense of the term? Not really, because if you look at the full definition, take your pick they're all roughly the same dating back decades, they are definitely vaccines. I hope your symptoms relent and you get back to your normal argumentative self soon!

I guess what I meant is that they’re not a typical vaccine in the sense of what I know a vaccine to be. I’m still glad I took it and would do it again.
