Kinda fun propaganda page from our 5-yo system running linux-ish.

Note the $7M electricity bill. I'm not sure if that's the gubm't rate or not.

We're trying to get the runoff cooling water sent to our ski hill for snowmaking. I guess once it's through the system it's not good enough anymore.

I am just "dumb end user" (OK I was but now even less as a program manager) so I don't know the gory details of the thing. Cool blinky lights on everything though!

It is hard to believe that the Exaflop level of computing is limited by the amount of electricity needed to cool and run the hardware.

You know it's serious when the computers have building-sized cooling towers out back.

Just a humble little OS. It's probably installed with a USB-stick like mine at home.
Back in another life doing commercial flooring instead of IT stuff we got to put the floors in the expansion at the WI headquarters back in the late 80s. Since I was a geek even back then they let me tour and I got my first look at a 8" floppy disk.

The rest of the factory was interesting though.
