Jim Garner, one of the greats. Tom Selleck co-starred in 3 episodes of the Rockford Files in the late 70's and he was so impressed with the way Jim ran the set and treated his co-stars and crew at the time he said to himself, if I ever have the opportunity to have my own series I will run it the exact same way Jim is running his. A year later he landed Magnum P.I. and Tom did just that.

I've been waiting for season 2 of The Old Man. It's been 2 years. It looks like the 2 episode premier comes out Sept 12th, with it streaming on Hulu the next day. After that, one episode per week (which I hate).

The original series is great for car-spotting as well… if you don’t mind seeing classics wrecked. ;-)

There was one episode where he went to a Indy Porsche shop looking for someone. I also liked his fathers pick up truck.

Don't bother with Peacock's "Those About To Die". Holy moly it is bad. How they Hopkins to play a part is...well...they must have dropped a truck load of Benjamins.

Fool me once. Suspense, whodunit. One season series. Just OK. Not terrible, not great.

Watched EVIL on Paramount... That show doesn't know if it tries to be scary, funny, or horny... Nothing really bad ever happens to the main protagonists and they always return, so "nah"...
Lioness was pretty good (special ops), might rewatch that before I cancel paramount. Starting to feel like I've reached the end of the internet, show wise.. Catching up on "the bear" (Hulu) - it's super stressful but it's clever and different. I heard Acolyte (disney, star wars) was cancelled, thank goodness. I felt obligated to watch since I pay for disney, it was the worst show ever. The old Man is back soon, that'll be good... |

I think Evil was a CBS show (or at least produced by them). Seemed a bit cheesy to me. There's tons of good stuff available. Shrinking, The Devil's Hour, The Outsider, 1923, Bosch, Bosch Legacy, Fleabag for example.

Right now on Bravo, "My Cousin Vinny" is on. I watched it from about the middle to the end, and it came on again, so,yep, watching again. Marisa Tomei is so freaking gorgeous!!!

On Netflix, Dark Winds ,watched the first season good show. Based on the"Leaphorn and Chee"
novel series by Tony Hillerman and set in the seventies, "Dark Winds" follows the FBI investigation of a bank robbery in Gallup,N.M. and the Navajo Tribal inquiry into the local murder of two native residents. Check it out. Last edited by serene911; 08-30-2024 at 08:55 AM.. |
