Remember the McDLT? It came in that double container that "kept the hot hot and the cold cold",
Keeping on topic, I have never eaten a McRib and really have no plans ever to do so. I haven't eaten McDonald's in years, but my go to burger was the Double Quarter Pounder with cheese and no onions. This ensured that it was cooked fresh and I didn't like onions on my burger anyway.

I remember the McDLT. Wasn’t bad, for McDonald’s. I wouldn’t pick it over a Whataburger, but it was a different change of pace from a quarter pounder or a Big Mac.

I just can't take the salt in the quarter pounder.

One could always go hit a Runza Hut sometime.

The McDLT was pretty good. That was right before the styrofoam objections started gaining traction. I remember one FF burger chain even made a big deal about their burgers not being served in styrofoam. (possibly Wendy's)

The Mcdonalds in the town I work is packed everyday at lunch time both inside and the double drive thru lanes. Burger King, Wendys, KFC, Taco Bell and Dairy Queen are never packed.

I love McDonalds.... Grew up gorging myself on BigMacs, fries, shakes, McNuggets, hamburgers, cheeseburgers when ever I could. mmmmm Back in the day I tried the McRibs and liked the sauce and onions, but was too weirded out wondering what the meat was.

Now in my 50's I have to watch what I eat so I don't turn into an old fat bastid.
I guess I am lucky as my cholesteral, Glucose etc have never been a problem at my yearly physicals so I only worry about getting fat but not my health when deciding what to eat.

I probably average about 2 a month at one of the aforementioned fast food joints... Most days I just eat a crappy salad from the company food service for lunch.

Worked at McDs in the mid-80s and loved the food, especially the Big Mac. Sometime after that they changed the grease for fries to a vegetable soy-based I believe and the taste went to crap. The burger mixture changed as well and got smaller which was probably a good for us 'mericuns. The combo was too much with the taste changing as well. Now it's $8-12 for a combo meal plus still waiting in line and a 'tude and order wrong? That sours the deal. The salads are still decent.

I figured with the awesome toyz I'd amassed via Happy Meals, MickyD's had a customer for life even though the meals suck. Alas ... haven't been there in years until recently....

When ya can't even gimme a decent Egg McMuffin anymore.... yer outta my life.

But those toyz are still awesome ... taste better than the food too

When I worked in downtown DC I would go occasionally to McD. They did not have the double cheeseburger in a meal combo at every restaurant location. When ordered separately it was close to $10.

But you could get the $6ish combo for the 2 cheeseburger meal, cause that made a lot of sense, extra labor and more product but lesser price. I got smart and would get the 2 cheeseburger combo and shift one patty to the other burger.

Just get two McChicken sandwiches and a free cup of water. Less than three bucks.

OK, who's gonna order this?

McGangBang - McDonalds Secret Menu | #HackTheMenu

McDonalds McGangbang
The "McGangbang" burger is one of McDonald's most famous "secret menu" items. And for good reason! It combines two of the best items from the dollar menu into one perfect burger. Simply order a McDouble and a McChicken. The McChicken Sandwich is placed directly inside of the juicy McDouble, buns and all. So, for $2 you've created a huge tasty sandwich. How tasty does that sound? So, if a normal McDouble doesn't quite fill you up, take a chance by combining a McChicken and a McDouble from McDonalds Secret Menu to create your own McGangbang. In our opinion, the McGangBang is the best bang for your buck. When ordering, don't forget to order a big drink to wash it down!

Be sure to check out the McDonalds Secret Menu as well as visiting our home page to check out the complete list of All the Secret Menus from all your favorite restaurants!

I can't remember ever having had a Mc Crib. I've eaten a Big Mac, also a few DQP's, and QP's in the last year. Not much through the years though.

Brown bag through school. Ate my BB off campus 11th-12th grade, most times. Even walked home for more, a few times I took a buddy or two along. I had it made.

I don't remember the cost for school provide lunch. It didn't matter. 5 boys in school? Yeah, it wasn't going too happen. Mom made it happen. She did it all.

When we started throwing paper routes (7-8), and had our own money, we could deviate. I almost never did.
