I used this kit and did 2 cars. Just did it yesterday, so I'm not sure how long it will last.

The dims on my WRX are pathetic. I'm forced to drive with my brights. My lenses are clear. All Subaru headlights suck I guess?

I just finished working on the wife's outback headlights and my 996.
Outback got new low beam bulbs both sides. Not a bad job once you commit to taking the wheel and fender liner out. Glad I have a lift!
The 996 I used the Sylvania kit to bring them back to their original glory.

Are those weird little bumper deals a Canadian thing? My '03 996TT did not have them.

Looks good, coat them in anything to keep them protected from the UV rays?

That's what I was saying. But thanks for the link. That is some inexpensive film.

and if sprayed, there are single stage UV blocking clears. Of course the 2-part epoxy paints are more durable.

HIDs in that 996T or halogen? I have HIDs in my 09 Cayman S. I llove them that they turn with steering wheel input but the out put sucks. I am thinking neither the bulbs are old or I am getting old. I wonder if changing out to new bulbs will help? I also wonder how LED replacement in those projector lenses will do? I don't want to blind on coming drivers but wonder if the projector's will do that. LED will scatter light all over blinding on coming traffic in a traditional halogen fixture

2001 it was an option to not have the bumperettes.

My kit came with a clear coat finish.

Do you find them to be inefficient?

I never had any concerns with the Xenons in my 996TT, they were self leveling and worked well.

I owned it for about 5 years and never changed them, so I could not say how new the bulbs were.

Thanks. I am going to change my bulbs and see if there's any improvement and report back.

Wow! You’re not kidding. The difference between the two pictures is night and day. They look like two totally different colored cars.🤪

The headlights for my 2014 F150 were pathetic. On back country roads at night, I couldn’t see squat with the high beams. I installed an upgraded Sylvania bulb that didn’t do anything. Got some LEDs off Amazon and the difference was amazing. Took some adjusting to get the non blind level correct.

In the front bumper, I added a 20 inch LED light bar, that’s powered by a relay triggered by my high beams. That turns night into day.

If you have ever seen a pick up truck with a Carolina lean, I don’t know how in the world they can adjust their headlights down enough, to point towards the road.

An old toothbrush, toothpaste and a little elbow grease also works.

Not very well and doesn't last long.
The old clear coat needs to be removed and then the lenses sanded and polished with a new clear at the end.
