The Honda seemed to find what they were looking for.

Apparently, he turned himself in and gave them video. I don't know if he consulted an attorney first (seems unlikely). My guess is that he feels like it was justified. I'm hoping that he figures out that he was VERY wrong.

I'm not familiar with the folks in GA, but no great surprise, lots of people out there with horrible judgement and grasp of reality.

I was referring to the three involved in Amon Arbery case. Another where his own video was used to convict him.

The guy driving the Raptor needs to be dragged out of his vehicle and shot. What a flaming ass hole. His behavior is simply inexcusable. Blocking the left lane and pacing a car in the right lane in a conscious effort to not allow the other vehicle to pass, with nothing but open road ahead of him. This kind of passive/aggressive bullschitt has no place on our highways. Hopefully someone got his license plate number and authorities will prosecute him for this hit and run, along with whatever other charges they can gin up.

I agree that the guy in the PU truck may have been an ass hole but that in no way excuses the behavior of the guy in the Honda. What are we, 5 years old?

We assume the guy in the Honda was just being a prick, and he probably was. We really have no idea, though - he could have had someone in the car experiencing a medical emergency, or something like that. Not everyone in what appears to be way too big of a hurry on our roadways is a douchebag. Most, but not all. And it's not for guys like this truck driver to decide, and especially not to enforce his version of traffic law.

i kinda think the spirit of this thread is that NOBODY should be driving like a fool, and that shooting them if they are, is not the answer?

i''l watch that Raptor video, now..but i am going in thinking the pistol is not the answer. i could be wrong

The guy in the truck may have been a jerk, or maybe inattentive, but he was not pacing the cars in the right lane. He overtook two cars in the space of 43 seconds.
On the other hand, he may have accelerated after the Honda went by the car on the shoulder.
The guy in the truck may have raised some ire here, but did he even break any laws?
The Honda driver sure did.
Regarding the following distance of the camera vehicle: Oh yeah! When I see that kind of crap going down, I am observing at a distance. I do not wish to be collateral damage.

Total F***ing idiots! Time to move to...where - Canada? Sweden? Antarctica maybe?

Got my "Junior NRA" sharpshooter rating as a 12 year old - but that was in 1966.

This? is a totally different era...complete total ****** idiots with ***** for brains carrying deadly weapons. What is the endgame here? I just don't get it.

From my perspective, anyone who buys a gun for "self defense" needs to take a course in the proper use of his or her weapon of choice before making the purchase. Otherwise, we may as well encourage five year olds to drive Ferraris.

Number one rule of life is don't be a dick, and somewhere around number two or three, I think, is keep your dick in your pants. Some people have an awfully hard time with that.

I'm gonna agree with that one.

My assumption on that vid is the Raptor guy was being a dick blocking the passing lane. Honda guy obviously is a jackass and but for the risk he put everyone around him at i'd be laughing at his misfortune. He needs jail time for that stunt though.

Edit:

looking at it for a fourth time it might be that the vid covers the entire incident. if so i'd say Raptor guy wasn't a dick until he sped up to block the honda. Still can't stand passing lane slow pokes but it did kinda look like he was picking up the pace when the honda got on him. can't fault the guy for that.

Watch it again. He was, indeed, passing cars in the first part of the video. All the Honda driver had to do was be patient until the truck cleared the last car, which he was going to do in short order. No need to climb up his ass like that.

But, the moment the Honda got on his ass, he slowed to the pace of the car on his right and started pacing it, and it was pretty obvious he was doing so in a deliberate attempt to cock block the Honda. The car on his right, who he had been passing at a pretty decent clip, actually started creeping ahead of the truck, the truck having slowed that much. The truck driver's intentions could not have been more obvious, made even more so by the way he stomped on it to try again to cock block the Honda as it passed on the right.

That's how it looked to me. So, two numbnuts, but one escalated to the point that it cost him dearly. It was kind of like the other videos. In the other videos, there were two numbnuts and at least one of them escalated.

reminds me of so many fights.

aßhole
fuch you
push
shove
punch

In each case, it took two to tango, and in each case, one of the people could have stopped and the situation would likely have resolved. "You" can always stop, always step away. I've NEVER been in a fight, but I've been in plenty of situations where it could have ended in a fight. But I don't feel the need to "defend myself" if someone calls me a name. Hell, even if someone pushes me, I don't feel the need to throw a punch.
