You guys with the tungsten, or stainless rings, I hope you never need the ring cut off.

I took mine off for the first time in a long time the other day after bruising my finger picking up a box of paper. Took my wife 1 day to notice.

This. I don't wear mine anywhere I could damage it or me, but do when I/we go out somewhere.

Working in manufacturing, we were not allowed to wear rings, watches, or any hanging jewelry because of safety issues. For this reason, I always kept my wedding band on my key ring, and that is where it is. When we go to a function of some sort, I will wear it. My wife doesn't make a big deal out of it. We've been married 26 years and she knows I am committed to her.

Yeah. You can't really report the post in this thread, but I checked the other three and reported the post that he created and then went back and added a link to. In the process I ran across another account that had 9 posts and was going the same thing and reported those two.

I used to wear my wedding band everyday. As a street cop, I chased a gangsters through backyards and over chain link fences. During one of the chases, as I climbed over the last fence into a backyard, my ring got caught on the twisty top portion of the chain link fence and ripped my finger open. In that last backyard, I caught up with the gangster and we were involved in a fight to take him into custody. He sustained some injuries that made him bleed and during the fight we exchanged blood. This was in the mid-1990s when AIDS and Hepatitis were the major diseases floating around. This was terrifying for me and decided to stop wearing my ring.

Vicki and I both stopped wearing our rings a few years ago. They no longer fit due to Arthritis in our hands.

I wear mine --stainless steel -had to cut the gold band off a few years back due to arthritis.
Wear it every day as it reminds me of my late bride. I wear her band with my Irish Serch Bythol triskele pendant around my neck. What was and still is.

I think a lesson we can all take from this is, even bots have wedding rings. Who knew?

On topic, I've worn mine for 30 years

Never worn a wedding ring. I've always been afraid of getting it caught on something when working outside or during something mechanical. I always feel married to my lovely wife - ring or not.

I've worn one for 44 years until my wife passed last May. I felt naked without it so I wear it on my right hand now to remind me of all those great years we had together.

Remember reading a horror-story-article about wedding ring mishaps..(was it in Sports Illustrated?) Since then, been kind of ring-phobic. I did wear - and got used to - mine when I was ( briefly ) married. I specifically designed it to 'break' before my finger would...white gold / thin band frangible engineering -at its best, but never put to the test

As like others already posted years ago, I have worn my wedding ring 30 years 24/7 other than medical procedure requirements. It is the only "jewelry" I sport. No necklace, watches, or other accompaniments. My wonderful wife does not wear her wedding band all the time as it has sparkles which she is protective of. My band is a simple white/yellow gold combo that I get polished every couple of years.

I wear mine every day, will be 31 years at the end of the month.

I also just received my late fathers wedding ring. I’m not sure what to do with it.
