Iron Mike on a plane

anyone seen the video of Iron Mike Tyson pummeling that very deserving drunk dude on the plane?

i have a number of questions--

why is the champ flying coach?

why is he flying commercial to begin with?

TMZ has reported he was in 1st class when this beatdown occurred. that's not ever how I imagined 1st class...

how does a guy that made hundreds of millions of dollars not have a private jet?

i know don king took him to the cleaners, but they say his cannabis business is raging. why is he flying with the great unwashed and our BS?

I'm always amazed at the wealthy that fly commercial. If I was its the first thing I would address...

"A scary and ferocious boxer in his prime, Mike Tyson faced severe financial issues due to his impulsive spending and eventually filed for bankruptcy in 2003"

^^^
Something tells me that move is gonna cost him some cabbage.

Buying a private jet is often only the tip of the expenses iceberg...like owning some horses but with the $$ wick turned up a bunch of clicks.

You can gobble up a lot of that dough if you're doing it mid-5 figures at a time. And that's not even in your own plane.

The total running cost of a Super Yacht is around 10% of its purchase price every year.

And a $100 million plus Super Yacht is not uncommon!

I was on a flight with Iron Mike on a flight a few years ago.
Got a picture, haha.
No one approached him during the flight, but after landing several people did. He was very gracious to them (although very quiet), and everyone was gracious towards him.

He wasn't in coach.

Smart wealthy people do fractional shares with outfits like Flexjet.

You need to be flying a lot to make owning a private jet worthwhile, or be vain.

Or it needs to be a passion like Travolta or Bruce Dickinson.

Ask Bill Oreilly why he's flying Southwest.

Meh, if I were in the jury pool I'd probably let him slide.

I think some people need the reality of a good smack upside the head to teach them the manners of living in a polite society.

If ever there was a more punch-able face.....what a major D-bag!

Good for Mike!

If I’m on the jury I’m awarding Mike money for having been inconvenienced.

A better "not private" version. You get to see part of what lead up to this.

The guy is an idiot and he showed no respect for the Champ.

Yep, and a little extra for showing restraint and not completely pummeling that douche into oblivion.

cabmandone 04-22-2022 02:55 AM

Evander Holyfield said wtf? the guy still has two complete ears?

beatnavy 04-22-2022 03:39 AM

I almost bumped into him in the hallway at the Securities and Exchange Commission. He was coming out of the hearing room after giving testimony about getting ripped off by his financial guy (a common trapdoor for wealthy athletes). His gf/attorney/I don't know what came out of the room first, and I was focused on figuring out who this stunning woman was in a government office hallway and didn't notice the guy in front of me with the funky face tattoo until it was almost too late.

He's not that tall. I'm sure I could have taken him :D
