LOL, the energy drink. True story, I was at SEMA when the drink 1st came out. As anyone who has been to SEMA or any event at that type of venue knows how $$$$$ food and drinks are there. I would get in the long line for beverages and food, but would lose my appetite for $12 bottles of water. Well, NOS had just come out with a energy drink, and they came in a bottle that looked like a Is nitrous oxide bottle that people had in their cars, as a matter of fact, some people actually bought the little bottle and poured them in their fuel tanks, we know how that worked out
Well anyway, when I would get so thirsty and tired, but couldn't bring myself to pay $12 for a bottle of water, so grabbing a free NOS made v me really appreciate the free beverage. To this day, it is the only energy drink other that I actually like and am willing to drink.

I would think the animals that give their lives up for Wally meat would be the opposite of free range.

I have no problem with WalMart food and buy my milk, eggs and bread there...but little else (largely due to price and convenience). The milk and bread are fresh and dated. I buy most of the rest of our food at the military commissary because it is cheaper (and supports the base/military community) ...but sometimes see sketchy products there as well. The problem with cold foods in big boxes (I see this at the large commissaries and WalMart) is that morons (shoppers) put them in their cart and wander around for hours with it there...then put it back or abandon the filled cart in the women's clothing or gardening dept. Then it is a judgment call whether to return the food to the cooler case or dispose of it when an employee finally finds it and has the initiative to do something about it. Since it is easier to just return it to the cooler/shelf along with the equally dubious fashion choices, I imagine the wrong decision gets made quite often (by lazy and inexperienced employees). Buyer beware. If you look closely at what you buy, you can cull out dubious products.

I try to buy as little as possible from the Albertsons, because they really, really gouge you. An example is a pint of heavy whipping cream, which I use as a creamer in my coffee. Albertsons charges $6.99, while Walmart's is $2.06. Plus, the one I buy from Albertsons is watery compared to that from Walmart.
the one from Walmart probably has more thickener in it than the one from Albertsons.

Many/most heavy creams have carageenan, guar gum, xanthum gum, etc... in them as a thickener to make them seem thick.

You made me go look at the ingredients on the carton: "Ultra-pasteurized heavy cream, mono & diglycerides, carageenan, disodium phosphate, polysorbate 80. sodium citrate" I'm going to check out the Albersons ingredients when I go there next out of curiosity. I only use about a teaspoon per day, so a pint lasts a long time.

i actually have been buying steaks there. ONLY if they have good marbling and i get the thin ones.
the steaks at the big chains really suck. no flavor and sometimes tough.
NO chicken
NO hamburger. i have had little hard grisly things in the hamburger. i assume ground up bone or cart ledge
no pork chops.

i do get their pork ribs, the extra meaty ones.
