Very nice! I had a Snapper rear bag self propelled that lasted 25 years. When it finally gave up, went out and got another. You’ll love it.

That would suggest an oil pump and pressurized lubrication so take care of it and include it in your estate planning!

I appreciate the generous offer... but I do my own... and like to. I need you to move in 2 houses up.... and mow the house in between us though .

Perfectly able bodied guy ... I think he's mowed 2 ... mebbe 3 times this year. It's been weekly since March for me and everyone else in the 'hood.

My brother's across the street "neighbor" is one of the great ones. He came home one day and heard my brother's central AC compressor cycling on and off, and making bad noises. He is an AC repair guy for a living, and just went and got a new compressor, and swapped it out and was almost done when my brother came home. They just paid for the parts, and they had AC fixed.

That same neighbor will bring over any gas powered lawn equipment, and leave in in front of my brother's shed. He will fix it, and push it back over. They have keys to each other's house, and swap duties taking care of mail and watering plants when the other is out of town.

^^^ That is called the perfect neighbor.

My neighbors are both elderly women living by themselves. One is very active and takes care of her lawn and stuff. She enjoys doing it. She is 87 years old.

The other...not so much. 68 years old. I have tried helping with lawn problems and get the 'mind your own problems' attitude. So I do.

In '79 we bought our first house in a rural area. The property had been neglected and the To Do list was long. On the day we were moving in, we drove up and were surprised to find our lawn mowed. Turns out the old fellow next door was the father of guy who built the house. He was glad to see someone moving in and fired up his ride on mower. I got to know that old mower pretty well, as it liked to throw the drive belt from time to time and the old fellow couldn't get down to work on it.
While we were there we helped him get groceries and visit his sister who lived about 5 miles away. Eventually he moved into a care home but we couldn't have had a better "welcome!" to the neighborhood.
Good neighbors are worth looking after.

Best
Les

I rolled it home, It has a simple B/S motor, fussed with it for short time and got it to start. Seems to run well.
I'm going to ask some folks who recently moved to the area (renters from the look of things) who haven't cut the lawn since they moved here if they could use a free working mower.
