That's cruel. One has better odds with scratch off tickets...

Fun fact. A office attendant in my high School won 200k off a scratch ticket my jr year. She promptly quit.

About 15 years ago I won a thousand dollars at MacDonald's (I sent a text to a number from my mobile).

It was one of the best feelings ever and I'll never forget it. :D

- Is that why people get addicted to gambling?

Just got my tickets for tonight's drawing. I gave them my ticket that I thought I had only won $4 on but they scanned and said $12. That seemed pretty odd but just took the money and bought more tickets.

You must have paid extra for the power play which multiplied your winnings x3.

I talked to my wife about it and we decided not to play. Having a billion bucks would most likely be a curse. Relationships, friendships, kids and their goals in life all would be out the window.

We used to play when we were young. It was a cheap ticket to a dream and a bunch of joking when the numbers were drawn.

Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't mind becoming a billionaire, but not overnight. It'd have to be a life long or even muti-generation process for everyone to stay sane as you go along.

You can look it up, tally of lottery millionaires. Most peoples lives are broken as a result.

This but it's a problem I'd like to have.

I'm 57... Realistically how many good years do I have left? (20?) Followed by how many bad ones? (10-15?)

Odd, the drawing was delayed due to some type of "security protocol issue". Never heard of this happening before.
