I have not put a wallet in my back pocket for decades.
Once I bought a tri-fold and they would fit in front, that's where they stayed. Now I'm down to a money clip that holds several cards. May visit Menards.

I quit with the back wallet this Feb...just before having the back surgery.
The Doc recommended using front pockets. Even though it's getting close to a year since...I still find myself checking my left rear pocket every time when leaving the house.

Yeah, wallet has been front pocket for about a year now. Both for security and ease.

Do you still carry a comb with your wallet?
I won't ask about the circular impression. lol

Just got a ridge for my birthday. Love it so far. I am a front pocket person anyway so no back pain. Plus makes me get rid of unused junk in my wallet

I was a little hesitant...thinking that it would be too bulky for a front pocket.
It surprised me that with 5 cards and cash it is really compact and thin. I read on the comments for mine, that the thing will loosen up just a little after a couple weeks..Makes it easier to slide the cards.

Just the comb is good.
When... When I had a lot of hair I used an Afro comb. Mind you that was about 1974 or somethin'. |

Ah the memories. I recall being behind people at the register, sifting through all the coins to find the exact change. They sometimes would look at several pennies and choose the exact one to give. It took a bit of patience on my part.

Notwithstanding all the good info above, does anyone know of any actual instances of fraud due to passively reading a credit card chip?
I've read that every time the chip is used the "code" contained within it changes - which would seem to make RFID fraud moot. Lastly, does anyone know if the chip contains info on the cardholder? Name, address etc? Or just the account number?

I will say it again, if there was really a security issue, the cards would come in a RFID protective sleeve from the bank.
It is total snake oil selling of the RFID blocking wallets. It will not hurt anything but your bank balance to buy one, but I just can't worry about it. My CC company has my back, and they are all about preventing fraud. David, I wish there was real info about the chip but all I see is the scare mongers information. When my CC company sends out RFID blocking sleeves, I will take notice. I always though the whole point of the chip was for security, not to make a big hole in security. I am not concerned about it at all.

Only a 'stache comb. No need for anything else.

FWIW...I carry a Ridge because I like it. RFID blocking is at best a secondary benefit, and was not even a consideration when I purchased the wallet. I just like it...

I've always carried a back-pocket wallet, but lately I've noticed that it's contributing to funny wear marks in my car seats. I figured I'd try one of these front pocket wallets and bought this one:
https://www.amazon.com/RFID-Blocking-Slim-Wallet-Moneyclip-Metal-Wallet/dp/B091JH8P34/ref=sr_1_5?keywords=hayvenhurst+slim+wallet+for+me n&qid=1670991287&sprefix=hayven%2Caps%2C191&sr=8-5 Just received it. Not sure I like it. The edges of the carbon fiber side panels are kinda sharp (should have ordered aluminum). The money clip is tight, the side hasp thing on the Ridge is probably easier to use. Will give it a few days... |
