Found an old pic of my '69 Camaro
Got it probably mid 80's from a guy who tried to drag race it. Got rid of a tired 350 for a nice little 327, made a nice cruising car out of it.
When I got around to paint the grill I decided on silver instead of black, had a couple of friends who said "you can't do that they're all black", well I said "mine's going to be silver" "go get some more beer" I said. When they came back "How do you like it?" I asked, "should be black" they said "But looks not too bad" they said. "Screw you" I thought to myself. "I like it" I said "Go home, leave the beer" We're still friends. ![]() |

My barber has a pretty decent '67 Camaro SS he is selling for $30K. It was all I could do not to buy it.

Both are great looking cars. I'd be happy to have either.
My most interesting American cars were a '65 Impala 2dr, 350, 4spd, '70 Skylark 350, and '69 Buick Riviera 430. None were terribly speedy. The closest to being fast was the impala. What it lacked in power, it made up for in gearing. I wouldn't necessarily want any of those cars again, but I would like to have a nice '65 impala with a nice engine and 4 spd. Aside from that, I'd be happy to own a '65-69 Chevelle (OK, I'd be OK with '70-72 Chevelle or Monte Carlo).

Looks great! I had a 2 68’s at various times, one coupe and one convertible. The conv with 327 and 4sp muncie and 4:11 rear was a blast…not so good on mpg though!

I had a ‘69 Z/28 in exactly that color combo (black grille). I wish it had the RS pkg, though.

The biggest duffus in my high school auto shop class was given a brand new '69 Z28 for graduation in those colors. We all gave the car about 6 months to live when we found out.

I actually prefer the '67 to the 69.

I don't know much about Camaro's (never owned one), but I am pretty sure it was a 1968 Camaro RS Z28 I wished I could have back in the day.

Those Z28 Camaros had 302 motors and they were beastly, not friendly at all.

Dennis, did you happen to sell the Camaro to a guy from Digby NS about 25 or so years ago?
Best Les

Yes, Thought he was from Pubnico and maybe he was a Nicolson. He contacted me quite often, seemed like a good guy.
