No. They have barely kept their heads above water for a decade. They were selling at a huge loss in 2020. The industry had huge losses,, bankruptcies, and layoffs in 2014/2015/2020. No surprise they are profiting now.

And yet their C-suites retained their 7 and 8 figure salaries.

Listen, Capitalism isn't lost on me. My sense is there's a 1/8 to 1/4 ground they could have leaned toward. Maybe there's not. But even a token gesture would be appreciated by many.

Like any other C-suites?

Why not similarly complain about the cost of a ticket to Disney World or similar?

An executive's fiduciary duty is to make a profit for shareholders. Competition sets the balance. When government actively keeps out competition (for whatever reason), the existing players will always profit.

You really do love posting stupid nonsense. Why should government decide winners and losers in the market...and what sort of idiot thinks executives or stockholders would intentionally reduce profits to become more popular? Free market competition lowers prices and increases availability much better than the socialist principles you favor.

Better than coming to a battle of the wits unarmed. Why not make a reasonable argument if you disagree versus a personal attack?

Meanwhile, in the real world (outside of Boston). Why wouldn't gas prices be up with inflation? Unless you are buying gold chains or a flat screen TV, you are probably paying a lot more.

You will be on the island.

You need to watch the board rather than reloading all the time.

Time for a road trip! Before the strategic reserves run out and need refilled. I'm planning a trip to Albuquerque (after the great thread here reminded me my green chile light was on low). I might as well enjoy the lower prices my taxpayer dollars paid for (strategic reserves).

Inflation is already helping with my diet, and I have dropped a couple pounds...so, it is a good time for a foodie trip to a place where the economy is weak. I will start with chicken enchiladas from El Patron just off Paseo Del Norte and Wyoming and then maybe The Range the next night...with a lot of breakfast burritos in between. I can make my own gas.

^^^ Driven past that point many times on the way to Myrtle Beach.
The Football Hall of Fame on the west side of the highway.

Always heavy traffic there.

My part of west Michigan just went down to $4.09 today from $4.18 yesterday. Surprised how much cheaper gas is the further north you go here.

I'm less than an hour north of Grand Rapids.
For some unknown reason...our gas is always less than GR.
That's ok.
