Robert Preston....legend!
1984.....when we all had cable TV and would watch flicks like this on HBO over and over and over......and didn't mind at all! :) <iframe width="718" height="404" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/Uvtt94Oz4N4" title="The Last Starfighter (2/10) Movie CLIP - Centauri's Proposition (1984) HD" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" referrerpolicy="strict-origin-when-cross-origin" allowfullscreen></iframe> |
I guess at the time I just thought it was a cool kinda campy sci-fi movie. Didn't really dwell on the special effects stuff so much. But obviously it was a historical production in terms of digital technology!

Schwarzenegger put some really great movies out - especially in the 80's!
This one, like fine wine, gets better over time......... <iframe width="718" height="404" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/pAQRpd-BTlU" title="Predator 1987 Contact Scene - Shooting Jungle Movie Clip - 4K UHD HDR John McTiernan" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" referrerpolicy="strict-origin-when-cross-origin" allowfullscreen></iframe> 1987, directed by John McTiernan |

Robert Duvall had some moments. Still kicking at 93.

Cool movie for a 10 year old in 1966! First movie ever for Raquel Welch. Also starred Donald Pleasence, a year before he got a Persian cat in You Only Live Twice. I liked the Proteus. And especially the Little Nellie in the Bond movie.
