RIP Teddy. Please introduce yourself to Maddie my brindle Dachshund when you see her- you will get along well. Take comfort knowing we give them a life most people never get to experience. Maddie died in my arms on 3/3/20 and I still miss her deeply; she was only 13.5 years old.

We try to focus on the joy of their lives, versus the pain of saying that last goodbye. I don't know how much it helps, but we try just the same.

My condolences as well. Just saw this. A dog reaches a unique area of the heart that nothing else quite does. And Baz, that stupid cartoon you posted hit me hard. Like leaky eyes hard. I’m getting weepier in my old age I guess.
