Brock Purdy is a third string rookie and the last pick in the draft but he plays like a veteran. I believe he started all 4 years at Iowa with 48 games under his belt. He's a veteran of big games including 4 bowl games. Gotta take your hat off to this kid, he's cool as a cucumber on the field and in front of the media. He had 0 turn overs against Dallas while Prescott threw 2 interceptions which turned out to be the difference in the outcome. I think Dallas has a stronger defence than Phili and the 49er offense has so many weapons. I don't see a slaughter next Sunday.

He does it to himself. I've been a Cowboy fan all my life, and it's not heartbreaking to me because I can see it coming.

It's going to be the same next year too. Next year they'll have a new kicker because he had one bad game (they've already signed a new one), but Dak had the most (tied) interceptions in the league, and missed five games, and he'll be back. I guarantee it.

Dak repeatedly admits that he is the problem. However, Jerry does nothing to get rid of the problem, nor will he let the coach do it when its the QB. Never will I recon. It's like funding public education, throw more money at it and that'll fix the problem.

Dak, like Romo and others since Aikman, have the same affliction, they're just not very good. So, Jerry's going to continue to surround an average/bad QB with great players and end up with the same thing. Insanity.

They spread the field and were hoping to do eleventy laterals or backward passes and that a speedster could take it to the endzone.

Thst was a lousy explanation with all of the eliglble receiver nonsense. After the initial forward pass, EVERYONE is eligible to receive a lateral or backward pass....

They should have let their kicker attempt a 7 point field goal

Didn't pay close attention. After the quick first forward pass, the idea is to have all yer speedsters on the field to lateral or backward pass the ball to.

As an ISU alum, you are right Greg. Purdy started a bunch of games at ISU and it makes a difference. He also had some good TE's and an All American Running back in Hall, so he knows how to use those weapons. He has played in some hostile places for sure in the Big 12. Nothing like those azzholes in Philly though.

Even the announcers said there is something to be said for playing a lot of college games versus going to a big name school and only starting a year or two then going to the NFL. In college Purdy tried to do everything himself, sometimes it worked, others not so much. What I like is at SF he is letting the playmakers do what they do. He has made some good throws and smart decisions that did not end up in turnovers.

Ultimately that was the difference on Sunday, he took a sack or threw the ball away, not into coverage. Now Dallas really could have intercepted that one poor pass, but overall he played smart.

With that being said, the offense needs to put TD's on the board not FG's next week if they have a chance. The Beagles have some damn good receivers and Hurts can do damage with his legs.

I've only seen Purdy a couple of games and he is indeed impressive .... and SF is loaded with weapons.... Dallas actually played them decently on defense imo.

But I cringe every time Purdy is rolling out, and then stops and sets himself to throw downfield. One way or another he's gonna learn not to do that .

Purdy needs to learn to run to his right . Running to the left as a right handed QB he has to take time to get set . In the NFL you generally don't have that time to set .

Yeah, with the two best defenses in football. Eagles O line superior, and the Linc is a hellhole for opponents. Should be epic.
