Yea, I called the Snap-on guy last week and told him I want just the one size. I am sure it was total coincidence that the entire set of them was "on promotion" and he was able to give me the price for the mechanics at dealership. I lured me in with a taste, and landed a sucker. I shielded my gaze from the rest of the truck. I did not go browsing.

Let's see...$325.88 divided by six...
Well, never mind...

Interesting movie idea, Varmint..I've often wondered how many $ are rolling along whenever I see a Snap-On truck.

Divided by 12 as you can only use 1 end at a time.

I keep those on top of my tool box because they get used multiple times a day.

I know how you feel, but most of my wrenches are Goodwrench now a days. They seem of good quality and reasonably priced.

I need to stop buying tools, because I'm starting to layer them on top of one another.

Edit. Do you ever see an interesting tool that you buy, only to come home and later on, find out you already have one? 😂 🙋🏽

Drug dealers... LOL

Know what you are buying and what your are getting. Service/warranty included...

A little different as I own the shop.

I could show the pics of our shop with all our snap on products. Screw Compressor, media blast cabinet, solvent wash tank, jet wash, 7 2 post lifts, AC machine, Diag scanners, Trans jacks, floor jacks, multiple tool cabinets and countless hand tools and other diag tools... Always felt we got fair value for everything we bought. 100's of thousands of dollars. But warranty is great and service is epic. We need these tools to create revenue, we can't screw around...

For a DIY guy or a tech in a shop, maybe price shop a wee bit more. But I can say that some non snap on branded tools are less expensive on our service truck than in the flyers for local tool sellers....

Its business, build a relationship, treat your dealer with respect and get taken care of....

Cheers

Yea, its just that like most guys on this board, we are tool junkies. Snap on is the place to go get a fix. They certainly sell a total quality product, and stand behind them. No Chinesium poorly made junk, I can go to Harbor Freight for that.

My comparison to drug dealers is a joke, BUT, I went in for just the one 15-17 mm flare wrench and he "just happened" to have the entire set on right there and a discount from full price. I dangled the lure, and reeled me in like a fish.

My neighbor is a Matco salesman. Every evening he will back into the driveway with his beeping truck attracting me like a moth to the flame.

One of my former co-workers was neighbors to a Matco truck, and across the street neighbors to the Snap-on truck. I don't think that co worker did not know what end of a screwdriver to hold. he sure knew chemistry though.

You know you're a tool junkie when you find yourself watching tool box tours on youtube.
Why? I dunno. I mean, at my age, I'm pretty much done with wrenching. I do open a tool drawer now & then, but not nearly as much as I used to..

Anyway...pick a tour. Everything from seasoned pros to beginning DIYers..

Oh man. I have to keep telling myself, do not go in the tool section. If I had a tool distributor next-door, I would be in trouble.😂

Craftsman had a "Pro" series of tools that were not available in store..

I discovered it when they use to send out those quarterly paper tool catalogs...When you got past the combo kits they offered, and into the specific tool sections.... they sold some pretty good tools..

I'd equate these Craftsman with Snap-On.. heck they probably came out of the same factory...

Look up "Apex" or "Danaher" tools, and "Armstrong" tools

I also thought Snap-on tricks our brain into childhood nostalgia by including gifts in some sets just like cereal boxes used to have.

Just something so satisfying about using a quality tool that’s perfect for the job.
