It's a T12; that's too bad because I have a bunch of 15" 15W CW T8 size bulbs that would physically fit, but the ballast is incompatible.
SO close!

I also noticed when opening it up that the starter 'can' is the one of the smallest I've seen.
It's diameter is about that of a dime. Appreciate your trying to help.

Steve,
Next time the bulb goes, just get an LED strip light and put it in there instead, should work just as well. I did it on my Donkey Kong machine years ago and it looks pretty good, although a longer strip would have been better.

I checked on Amazon for LED light strips and didn't see anything under 9ft long. Or would a person just run it back and forth until it's all used? Is that your DK machine? I spent many hours playing that on a full size one like that....and then on early Radio Shack computers. Fun game.

Some of the strips allow you to cut between “bulbs” to make whatever size you want. I think mine was just an under cabinet LED light fixture that I mounted in the game, so I was at the mercy of the size I found. Yes, my Donkey Kong machine sitting in my living room- like you do! I also have the DK Junior boardset, which is installed now- they can be switched out in about 15 minutes. Rutager
