What’s in milk these days
My MIL brought over some milk that was suppose to go bad a few days later. Well over a month later it smells fine and I’m still using it. I don’t recall this longevity as a 70 -80’s kid.
Ingredients are:reduced fat milk, vitamin A palmitate and vitamin D. It then says: Contains Milk. Also produced without artificial growth hormones. What gives? |

I am struggling to find the appropriate conspiracy theory to fit. Either way, probably not good.

Maybe Clark Griswold was involved?

First response pretty much nailed it. Temperature control over the pasteurization plates was so good twenty years ago that the dairies in Nova Scotia agreed to not extend the best before dates in order to avoid a trade war.

UHT doesn’t go bad fast. Some of it doesn’t need refrigeration and some is ok for those who are lactose intolerant.
This is how most creamers are. It allows them to sit out and not go bad.

It's got to have something to do with the rehashed nutball conspiracy theory on fluoride. Milk is good for your teeth, and so is fluoride. But fluoride is in the water for government mind control if google is correct. There's got to a connection. Does milk control minds too? It will come out soon. The DIC (disinformation industrial complex) is ramping up. going to be a wild ride.

Remember where your first milk came from. It's a mind control plot!

We buy most of our milk from Kroger’s and it goes bad a few days past the expiration date.

Temperature control is critical. 33 to 36 degrees F is optimal. For every degree above 40F, you lose a day in keeping time. It is a natural product. Once bacteria gets a start, it grows exponentially. When I worked for the dairy, temps were recorded at every stage of handling and distribution.

We buy or milk from a dairy farm directly (on the honor system! Take you're milk, leave cash or check in the box.
It's not pasteurized or homogenized. The state allows this and requires then to meet more stringent hygiene, etc... It lasts remarkably longer than you would expect and tastes much better than store bought milk. And the cows are grass fed and pasture raised. |

Lactose-free lasts infinitely longer. I was buying that for a while but reconsidered.
Stuff that breaks down quickly is probably better for the tract. We need to start eating for health, not calories.

Right. Eat for health. Eating stuff that's processed doesn't help you.
