I would want to know a lot more about the mechanicals, but the price isn't off the charts. At least not compared to that Mustang POS what went for a quarter million+

Probably more $ in the build than received in the auction....

That looks like one that fellow Pelican PorscheDoc built a couple of years ago.
I like the idea.

About 14 years ago I test drove a C2 and C4. I bought the C2 and then had to sell it 18 months later when I got divorced. They're both good to drive but they're very different. To me the C4 felt like a front wheel drive car... Like my Golf but much faster.

I have to say, I find peoples reactions interesting. Without knowing the quality of the build, you really can't say if the price is fair or not. Assuming, the build was done correctly, I don't think $53k is outrageous at all. I would think the seller lost money on it.

I believe that car has a thread documenting it's build on Pelican.

Mods also shrink the number of people willing to bid while adding little, if any, value to the car. The moral here? Mod if you must, but do it for yourself. Meaning for your own driving enjoyment without any thoughts of getting the money spent returned.

From the pictures and description, it looks like a fantastic car. People build lots of these RS and RSR clones, they go for good money with a lot less engine and chassis than this car has. I could do w/o the C4 part but everything else about it is beautiful, IMO. And yes, a lot more than $53k went into building this.

I would have to check for the issue number but I think this 964 was also an Excellence featured car.....
